"Check in was OK although member of staff left the desk twice to check something about the booking and the room without explaining why...keeping a tired customer informed is helpful...she was just checking the room was ready. Stopped four nights...second morning note pushed under door advising us to contact reception as we had not paid!!!! They had credit card details and hadn't taken the previous day...! Room was not cleaned/refreshed unless we asked...only done twice in a four night stay. Ignore the automated check out email. We completed it on the fourth day only to be told we still owed for three nights even though we had already paid in full as above. Manager confirmed all paid and this was an automated email...need to updated their automated processes. Hotel was in a good location, clean, adequate but a little dated. We would have be quite happy with everything if check in had been completed properly, the room was refreshed daily without asking, and the automated system hadn't advised us we had a balance outstanding when we'd paid in full."

"Noisy, noisy, noisy! Had to change rooms as the noise from the nearby elevator and doors closing was annoying! New room was worst than the old room as it was a foot away from a loud closing fire door! Bathrooms are a hazard! A huge slippery high bathtub dominates the bathroom! The best thing about this hotel is the location."

"Got there at 1:30pm, room not available. Understandable, website quotes 3:00 check-in. Returned at 3, room still not available. Was offered room in basement. Did not want this. Was given other room on first floor. Took this. The "Roost" room was very small. Could barely fit 2 suitcases on the floor. Hot water did not work. Told to go to another room to take a shower. Next morning we had to pack up leave luggage in hotel storage. Pay for coffee station did not work. Returned from touring and got new room. Hot water worked. On-line keys did not work. Was given key card. Asked for "do not disturb" hanger. Told there were all out and they were in process of ordering more. No TV remote in room. Had to request one. Next morning, pay for coffee station still not working. In-room coffee machine did not work."

"This is really a fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean, staff all very friendly and helpful. It is in a lovely location, only a short walk to Earls Court station and to The High Street where there are loads of shops, restaurants and pubs. We had a twin room, lovely modern shower room and all very clean. Safe and small fridge in room. There is no breakfast but there is a toaster and a microwave which can be used by visitors. There is fresh water on tap, still and sparkling and a bottle which you can fill for your room. There is also a machine providing coffee and hot chocolate for the use of visitors, and it is lovely. You can have as much as you like and there is no charge for any of it. There is also a lovely garden with seating which you can make use of. Overall we were very impressed with everything and it was a very reasonable price."

"This hotel is wonderfully situated across from a tube station & there is a "Gails Bakery" across the street as well as a pub & several restaurants within a few blocks. The staff were very helpful & professional. We were happy with the comfort of our bed & the shower was great! We would definitely stay here again."

"From the main reception, to the lift, to the room, all areas were filthy! The room floors were grimy, the windows and mirrors were filthy and we couldn't open the bathroom door fully as it was obstructed by the bath. The only saviour for our stay was that the bedding and towels looked nice and clean (we noted that they were done by an outside laundry business) It appeared that the room next door was being used by a prostitute, due to the amount of comings and goings and noise from the room! The stay wasn't made any more welcoming when the fire alarm went off and the, I am assuming the manager, told his staff to "get them out of room 207 for smoking or call the police". This was said in front of many hotel guests, not very professional or discreet. Had it not been the London Marathon we would have tried to get another hotel, but all were fully booked locally. I would NOT recommend this hotel"
