"Good breakfast and dinner options, friendly staff"

"We have stayed at the Orida in Maidstone on many occasions and were expecting this hotel to be of equal quality. We were delighted that the hotel was clean. Well run and equally as welcoming as the other. We enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast was adequate although we arrived towards the end of breakfast time so there was not much left but the continental was still very good."

"I had a very pleasant stay overall and really appreciated the comfort and service provided. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and clearly lives up to its rating. The room was nicely arranged, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One small thing I did miss was having complimentary water bottles in the room, as this is something I’ve usually found helpful during my stays elsewhere. Additionally, a slight improvement could be made in the cleanliness just outside the building. Although there is a designated smoking area, there were quite a few cigarette butts visible, which suggests that the outdoor area may need more regular cleaning. While this didn’t affect me personally, it could make a noticeable difference for other guests and families. I didn’t include breakfast or dinner in my stay, but from what I could observe and the inviting aromas from the kitchen, it gave the impression of a high-quality dining experience, with a talented chef and a well-presented bar. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly appreciate the effort of the staff. With just a little attention to these minor details, the stay could be even better."

"I’ve stayed here before and the rooms have always been okay but this time my room was poor. The curtains were hanging off the hooks, there were cob webs in the corners and a whole in the wall. The room felt really musty and claustrophobic. I was going to ask if I could swap rooms but I didn’t have time before I had to leave for the evening. It felt like the room hadn’t been used for a while. I booked a cheap room so I didn’t have to get a cab home by myself late at night however the rooms location and it’s condition didn’t feel very safe. Breakfast was nice but staff could have been more welcoming. "

"Having booked and prepaif a room I was a bit disappointed that every bar and food transaction had to be pre-paid and I could not run a tab. This was particularly frustrating as bar service was a bit slow and I was with a client meaning I had to break our discussion several times. Additionally in the room there is an emergwncy light. It has a large green bulb that is quite bright and illiminates the whole room. Its like sitting under the Aurora Borealis and kept waking us up. It could be repalced with a tiny LED as its purpose is only to show the emergency lighting is working. Other than those things it was OK."
