"Our bed was comfortable. Bedding and towels were crispy white. Lots of fluffy towels including several face cloths. The room was updated with a cute, red refrigerator and lamps with USB-C outlets by the bedside. We were in room 2, close to the office. Despite the immediate proximity to so much, it was much quieter than I expected. Staff made a great effort to accommodate, like dropping and picking up bags early/late despite not being fully staffed (which we knew.) My only complaint was the floor. It's nicely tiled which should make it easy to mop clean. We remove shoes and walk barefoot. Seeing how dirty they got after cleaning them was disappointing. Thankfully with so many towels, we could clean our feet and the most trafficked floor to reduce the grime on our bare soles. The neighborhood feels a bit sketchier than it actually is but a tip is to walk on same side of Tulane and if walking to Canal for the streetcar, use a street more north than south. "

"The lobby was clean, the staff polite, but the rooms were wanting. First, we booked 2 dbl beds but got a single queen. They did allow us to switch to a different room with 2 dble beds, but the keycards didn't consistently work and I had to go down to the front desk multiple times to have them reset. Second, the room had poor lighting, no mini-fridge, no microwave, no phone, no other similar things typically found in most modern hotels, as well as no visible air vents. So, it had a thermostat but we couldn't figure out where the AC might come from. The room was muggy, and the sheets and pillows felt muggy. There were also very few power outlets, which might have been a bigger annoyance had our fan not had additional outlets on it. Lastly, they had a pool but it was closed, they had a "shop" but it was just cash-only vending machines, and there was no ice machine or buckets that we could find. The gated parking was a nice feature, but likely necessary for the area. And they provided coffee in the morning with powdered creamer, but that was it - no juice, no water, absolutely nothing else. But for the price, it was an alright place to sleep."
