“We had a nice stay at the Black Bear. Great location and Kim was very accommodating.”

“We had a wedding in the area and this place was perfect for our needs. There’s a bar to the front of the property, which was fun to hang out and play pool. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.”

“Light bulbs out in the bathroom. Could hardly see. German cockroaches in the room. Holes on the walls and ceiling. If there had been another hotel choice within an hour's distance even at twice the price we'd have left.”

“It was like you stepped back into 1950. And that is where it stopped being nice.”

“The room had a musty odor. We were in one of two occupied rooms, so it was very quiet except for road noise. The outside could use some sweeping to get rid of cobwebs around the windows and door. To be fair, the owner’s son has his hands full running the place and working his own job while the owners recuperate from an accident. The son was quite nice and he provided a good continental type breakfast. The location was good for us.”

“Check in was very pleasant. The room was so sweet with lots of personal touches you don’t normally see. Real tea/coffee cups, real spoons not plastic! A tablecloth and placemats on the dining table. A real live plant in the room. Etc. It was very homey. Staff very warm and friendly. I’d stay there again!”

“There is nothing special about this property but it is FINE if you just need a clean, no frills place to rest your head. It is reasonably priced, too. There was a TV, and a clean microwave and a clean mini-fridge. The busy road is not far, even though the motel is set back, and the rooms are in a line so you inevitably hear the slammed door of your neighbors. Convenient with lots of businesses nearby.”

“Room was clean. Towels were soft. Exactly what I was looking for. Staff was helpful and kind. I’ll be back.”

“Run…run… fast as you can from this place, save your time and money! I’m surprised this place is open for business you have to pay $20 cash to get your key room and I didn’t even stay, I return the key soon as I see how filthy the room was, When I return the key and told the men in the office the room was dirty He told me you can complain much as you want bye! Unbelievable! I had to look for another place to stay”
