“As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not”

“Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

“Charming hotel in tranquil setting but with very easy access to major road networks. We were a bit worried that the hotel might be noisy but even after a large prom event all was very peaceful and quiet by 11.30pm. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very spacious, tastefully appointed and had a very comfy bed. Would definitely return.”

“Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. “Accommodation was okay. Some areas a bit tired looking but generally clean and well kempt. The ladies on reception went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Always a smile for anyone they met. They are a credit to Days Inn. Major gripe is that parking is charged at £5 per night on top of the rate. The car park is clearly theirs and only a few vehicles parked there overnight. I have a blue badge, parked in one of the disabled bays throughout our stay. There was no concession for this...
