Mike and Carole are excellent hosts. I couldn't recommend this inn more enthusiastically. It is charming, comfortable, quiet, beautifully located by the marina. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Mike and Carol are excellent hosts and their home is beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay in the East Room. Breakfast and company were both excellent! Looking forward to a return trip in the future!

Great Weekend
The location is good to explore Tighlman Island. It is an easy drive to St. Michael. The host are extremely helpful, great breakfast.

Cute comfy Inn, even in the yucky weather
Such a sweet couple. You can tell how much pride they take in running the inn. They were very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and had so much character. Would definitely recommend this in to friends and family. I’m drunk this is all you are getting.

Charming in overlooking Dogwood Harbor
What extraordinary hospitality! We very much enjoyed the delicious gourmet breakfasts, graciously prepared by Carole as well as Mike's local and marine narratives which were tremendously engaging. The Inn has very attractive grounds and is conveniently located to the waterfront and restaurants. We loved our visit at the Lazyjack Inn!

We had the nicest stay at the LazyJack!!!
Every aspect of our stay was perfect. Mike called to check on us on the day of the check in to confirm our arrival. Had great dinner recommendations. Breakfast was awesome. We would highly recommend this B&B!!!

A comfortable waterside stay
A lovely, quiet place on scenic Tilghman Island. The hosts wee helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were superlative -- a friend told me the Lazy Jack serves the best breakfast on the island, and I believe it. The property borders Dogwood Harbor where you can see the bay's famous Skipjack sail boats, as well as working crab and oyster boats and recreational boats. Several guests were sailors themselves, as are the inn's owners.

Peaceful, beautiful weekend getaway
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Lazy Jack. The Inn was very quaint with water views. Our room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Mike and Carol were gracious hosts and the island overall was just fantastic!

Birthday at lazyJack Inn
Sept8-11,2016,we celebrated my birthday on Tilghman Island and St. Michaels. We enjoyed staying at the LazyJack Inn on Dogwood Harbor. Mike and Carol the proprietors provided warm, personable sevice each day. The breakfasts were delicious, filling and beautiful presentation. The rooms were well appointed. The tranquility was marvelous

Very friendly B&B
My wife and I had a nice time. It was my first time at a B&B. Mike and Carol were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Carol is a great cook. Breakfast was delicious.

Restful B&B on a watermen's harbor
Lazyjack Inn is a wonderful place to stay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The hosts, Mike and Carol, couldn't be more welcoming or hospitable. Delicious breakfasts overlooking Dogwood Harbor, beautifully decorated rooms, places to sit and read in the sun, or inside next to a warming fire. A place to de-connect and enjoy the beauties of nature and the quiet sounds of the bay. We had the privilege of staying for six nights and felt more like family than guests by the end of our stay. Mike and Carol are also very helpful in directing their guests to places to go and good places to eat (and there are many in this area). Tilghman's Island is a "real" place where real people earn their living on the water, but only fifteen minutes from St. Michaels. We couldn't recommend Lazyjack more and will be back.

This is the place to go to get away from it all. The inn is about 20 minutes from shopping and nightlife. The hosts are very nice. There are no tvs or clock radios.

We were here for a wedding. It was the perfect stay. Our hosts Carol and Mike were amazing not to mention the wonderful breakfasts every morning, our morning chats and the Inn itself was so quiet and it just felt like home away from home. We loved it.

Nice Inn by the Bay
Our Lazyjack Inn experience was nice. The inn was very clean, and quite charming. I was disappointed in the Saturday morning breakfast. For the price of the weekend, I felt that there should have been more quantity and variety. However, if you're looking for complete peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. None of the rooms at the Inn have televisions.

Great bed and breakfast on Maryland Eastern shore.
The Lazyjack is an incredible bed and breakfast. Carol and Mike are the best. The breakfasts were excellent. I would highly recommend a stay there.

A wonderful antidote to chain hotels
We could not have had a happier weekend at this magical haven. The house and gardens are charming, the location beautiful, and the service as personal and courteous as you could imagine.

Great B&B for a couple's weekend getaway.
The Lazyjack Inn is a great place for a couple's weekend getaway. Mike and Carol operate an excellent B&B in Tilghman, MD, which is located about 15 minutes south of St. Michaels. The room and common areas are very clean, comfortable and easily accessible. Carol is very welcoming and easy to converse with. You will feel as if you have known her all your life. Mike is very friendly and is quick to share his knowledge of local history and culture. As a former Navy man, Mike's boat tour on the Chesapeake is not to be missed. Both Carol and Mike prepare a great, nutritious breakfast and will direct you to the best local restaurants, shops and activities. This is the perfect place to serve as home base as you explore St. Michaels and the surrounding areas.

Stress Less and Replenish Your Soul
We just spent a wonderful weekend at the LazyJack Inn. Mike and Carol are wonderful hosts. They gave us tips on what to see and where to go for dinner. The breakfast was stellar--fresh and beautifully prepared. We stayed in the East Room and had a beautiful view of Dogwood Harbor. If you are looking for scads of diversions and entertainment look elsewhere. If you want to stay in an out of the way lovely location where you will meet terrific people, then Tilghman Island is perfection.

Great bed and breakfast overlooking harbor
Lazyjack has everything we could have hoped in a bed and breakfast--wonderful location in a peaceful 19th century bayside village that preserves the feeling of a small town, lovely yard and gardens, historic home dating to 1855 updated beautifully to offer all the amenities today's guests are looking for, views of the water including a charming cove where several of the area's oldest skipjacks dock and dozens of watermen still go out for oysters on weekdays in season, gracious and charming hosts who take care of every need and know everything you could want to know about local history, boats, food... In their gourmet kitchen they make delicious breakfasts with all the best fresh local products--something different and wonderful every day. The rooms are spacious with lots of lights and views in several directions. The house is decorated with such care and taste that the public areas and private rooms/suites should be comfortable for almost any guest--not fussy or frilly or too precious to touch, but special and welcoming with antique hardwood floors, wonderful fabrics and colors, plush linens and towels, fresh paint and wallpaper and tile, all new fixtures in the bathrooms. The lovely living room/sitting room by the front door has comfy couches around the cozy fireplace and views of the water. The breakfast room faces the sunrise with windows across a whole wall. The deck offers summer seating. The wide front porch overlooking the gardens is a perfect refuge in warm weather.

Best-kept secret near St. Michael's
The Lazy Jack feels like going home. A short drive from St. Michael's, the Lazy Jack has beautifully-architected grounds and the 1800's-built main house has been impeccably maintained and preserved. The hosts are helpful, welcoming and want you to enjoy your time. After two visits, this is the only place we'll stay in the vicinity.

Pperfect get away ,great hosts.
Very nice B&B very clean nicely decorated rooms and Carol and Bob your hosts are very knowledgeable about life on the Choptank river and Chesapeake bay., they called two days before our arrival to see if we had any special food or drink requests. The inn is lovely and 50 Yards away there are working skipjacks to take you on a cruise on the choptank river. Try to depart at 5:00 PM. to return at sunset heading West it was perfect. Great food at the tilghman island inn just a short drive or a reasonable walk down the road .The shrimp and grits appy. and a perfectly prepared Filet dinner with sides will set you back a whopping $25.00.served while you are watching the sun set over the water.

Superb location
The Lazyjack Inn is by far the best B&B we've ever heard of, let alone stayed in. Mike and Carol are really lovely hosts, providing a really excellent personal service, and their knowledge of the local restaurants and places to visit, and things to do was really helpful. There is a lovely sitting room, which is very comfortable to relax, without the intrusion of a TV or music blaring. The front porch and the patio at the back are great places to sit outside. We have already recommended The Lazyjack Inn to friends and family. We had a fabulous time visiting the stunning Chesapeake Bay, before returning home to the UK, at the end of a 3 week holiday. This is a 5 star B&B

Perfect location"
This little B&B was awesome. The location is perfect - just off of St Michaels on quiet Tilghman Island, so you're super close to the activity of St Michaels and you easily have access to Easton and Oxford, but with a quiet haven within reach. The innkeepers are 2 of the absolute nicest people you'll ever meet, and they truly help make the stay comfortable. The B&B itself is incredibly well kept, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and Carol is a fantastic cook! The breakfasts kept us going all day! I would recommend this to anyone for just an overnight getaway, or, better yet, stay awhile! We'll definitely be returning!

Perfect for a few days on Tilghman Island
Super B & B with very welcoming hosts. We were looking for a quiet characterful spot for a couple of days and that's exactly what we found. No TV or Radio which didn't bother us at all, but free wifi. Delicious and varied breakfasts - not your standard fayre - and all very leisurely and engaging conversation with Mike and Carole. Highly recommended

Off the Beaten Track
Both Mike and Carol ooze with friendliness. Carol's breakfasts are tasty and ambitious. The B&B was spotless and an idyllic spot away from the hub-bub of St. Michaels. This is a lazy area of Maryland so plan accordingly. If you want endless shopping and dining options they will be a 10 mile drive...but a pleasant one.

Bed and Breakfast the way it is supposed to be.
This is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. Normally, I am not a B and B guy but this was a great experience all round. The owners went out of their to ensure that we needed was made available to us and the cooked breakfeast was all homemade using local farm produce.

A wonderful "Step Back" in time and culture!
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the sense of community. The local market held a delightful Friday night wine tasting that was very unique and informative. At the gas station several locals were sharing a cup of coffee when they overheard that I did not have a rain coat. One of them went to his tour boat and retrieved a "loaner" rain slicker free of charge, no questions asked, just drop it back off at the store the next day. It was truly a step back in time and you could sense the community spirit of neighbor helping neeighbor, locals supporting there local stores, and general friendly atmosphere amoung the neighbors.

Outstanding Inn
We loved the Lazyjack Inn. We arrived late after a long drive and were greeted by the Innkeepers, who immediately assisted us with dinner recommendations and reservations. The inn is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. And breakfasts are WONDERFUL. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. What a nice stop!

Beautifully appointed historic home near dock
Welcoming hosts who are locally and maritime-knowledgeable, comfortable interior beautifully decorated with antiques, original art works with a sailing theme, oriental style vibrant colored rugs, fresh flowers picked from the garden greet you in your room. Gas fireplace shared by both the bedroom and all season sunny sitting room that adjoins and overlooks garden with a water element. Bathroom features a Jacuzzi, and lights that dim for atmosphere. Rear deck has a view of abutting docks. Gorgeous table set with fresh flowers and a different crisp Williams Sonoma tablecloth each morning for breakfast that begins with individually prepared fruit starter that could be fresh fruit in a stemmed compote cup with a dollop of organic yogurt, or perhaps a fresh individual cobbler. Next is an omelet or individual quiche. Fresh coffee or tea are ready very early in the morning to accommodate early risers. Bring your bottles of wine for the guest fridge. There are a bottle opener and wine and champagne glasses ready for guests.

Fabulous
The Lazyjack Inn is a beautifully updated old home. The setting is lovely, not only the view of the harbor, but the care taken by the owners to keep the grounds well maintained. Fresh flowers from the garden were in our room and around the house. Mike and Carol are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was spectacular, especially Carol's hot apple tart with raspberry sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Yes, for breakfast and that was followed by an omelet!! We definitely hope to return and recommend it to all.

Ett mycket gästvänligt par, Carol och Mike sköter det lilla B&B i Dogwood Harbor i ett hus med två fantastiska sviter och två mindre rum. En juste frukost serveras. Huset är vackert beläget vid den lilla hamnen.på gångavstånd till den större hamnen där flera mycket bra restauranger finns. Här kan man verkligen slappna av och njuta av skärgården i Chesapeake Bay, ta en segeltur med olika utflykts båtar och äta superba Crab cakes eller grillade ostron.

Best stay ever
The couple that ran the Inn were so wonderful words aren't enough. Breakfasts belonging in the Michelin Guide. Completely adorable and sweet place to stay. Back deck overlooking the fish boats and the marina. A spectacular place to be. If there had been more time on our agenda we would have stayed an entire week and taken one of the Fire-House tours and watched the sunset from Michael's boat.

Lovely room, outstanding hosts
We spent two nights at the Lazy Jack just after Christmas. Our hosts, Mike and Carol, provided great accommodations, delicious breakfasts, and a wealth of ideas for things to do and see while in the area. We are looking forward to a return visit.
