2/10 Terrible

"The hostel itself is a nice place. The staff is friendly, the bars and cafes are also very clean with some good drinks and bites to eat… however comma the room that we stayed in was a private quad suite that didn’t have a working AC unit. We tried to get someone to come and help but the “engineer” that came in told us the AC couldn’t go below 72 because the system in the hotel would shut it off. I’m not sure that is the case but who am I to say. I would honestly reconsider staying but absolutely should be a place you should visit for a night out with your friends!! "

"I loved my stay in the beautiful Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, and the Ambassador made that experience very nice indeed. I absolutely love the bar. It is, perhaps, the best hotel bar in all of Chicago, and by that I also include my compliments to the terrific stay that works that gorgeous room. Best."

"You can't beat the location of this hotel; it’s perfect for walking to everything Downtown. The staff was super nice, too. The breakfast could have been a little more complete for an Embassy, but everything else made up for it. The rooms were very clean and really spacious. Would stay here again!"

"Got there to checkin and the guy manning the front desk could barely look up to say welcome. Just pointed to a self checkin kiosk. Later that night we mentioned the TV wasn't work properly and the person at the desk said they would need an engineer to fix it. There was also a constant "thump" sound every few minutes. Not sure it was construction or what Room service was good. Guest services was better after the first night. It was ok"

"I had an amazing view of Lake Michigan and the area but unfortunately Michigan Ave is very noisy at all times of the day and night. In addition, there were no black out shades and due to the rooms facing East, the sunrise was bright and early. I had to buy a sleeping mask just to sleep to 7am. The hotel is located in a great area so if you can overlook those issues, then you’d be fine. "
