"It was just okay. The breakfast was hit and miss and was cold a lot of times. A number of the staff members were quite moody, especially the check in staff. The male porters were quite lovely though. The water in my room was never hot but manageable as Luke warm. Overall, my stay was okay. I had booked 5 days initially with the intention on booking a further week if I liked it. I ended up checking out as planned, and went to another hotel. "

"I was quite impressed with the quality and maintenance of the facilities. The shower was a particular delight - the best rainfall shower i have used in a hotel for long time! Everyone from the parking lot attendant, the reception staff to the lift attendants were friendly, polite and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety and was quite tasty. "The staff at Lilygate are exceptional. I was created by my name as soon as I walked in the door! Nice touch. In addition, I was created with a refreshing cold bottle of water and juice. Ms. Chinyere Kalu, leader at the front desk was a perfect example of providing excellent customer service. She arranged my transportation from the airport to Lilygate, as well as from Lilygate to Ouidah, Benin. If I lived in Lagos, I would hire Ms. Kalu.
