Chambre propre. Personnel competent, toujours aimable, disponible à tout moment. Petit déjeuner impeccable tresbien servi sur une plage horaire étendue.
We had a magnificent stay at Hotel Rialto from March 18 to 20. The location is perfect for exploring. Our first time to Venice and when we (hopefully) return we’ll stay here again! From Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Everything was excellent in so many ways, but I did not get good sleep any of our three nights because of the very hard pillows that felt like concrete by morning. Many other hotels give you a choice of two pillows - one harder and one softer. Other than that, I would say perfect location near all the attractions, shops, grocery market, adorable Venetian-style room, absolutely wonderful breakfast buffet and top notch service from the front desk, to food service staff, to bellman...all so warm and gracious. Highly recommend.
I had the most fabulous stay at Hotel Rialto. I had a magnificent view of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. In addition, the staff were really helpful and kind and the breakfast was terrific. It was great to be so close to the Rialto Markets and a waterbus stop. It meant I could come and go easily during each day of my visit.
Our room was very clean. The hotel is located perfectly. The view at the terrace was great as well. The staff were kind.

Liked: Staff & service
Great location and wonderful staff! The hotel is a bit worn out and the rooms are comparable to those on a cruise ship. You won't visit here to stay in the hotel, for sure. We had an issue with our bathroom and it was sorted quickly and seamlessly. It's VERY easy to find this hotel- just take Vaparetto Line 1 to "Rialto" and it's right there. From experience, other hotels in Venice can be very hard to find :)
We booked a Junior Suite, but the first room we were assigned was unacceptable. Opening the windows revealed nothing but a tiny, dark corner and a loud machine that ran all night, making sleep impossible.
After a fight and an intervention from Expedia, we were moved the next day. The second room finally had a view, but the peace ended there. Being on the first floor meant we were directly above the chaos. Between the bar music, constant street chatter, and the roar of water buses and taxis right outside our window until the early hours, we didn't get a single night of rest. The gentleman at the front desk was dismissive and rude when we initially asked for a room change. Only after Expedia's intervention that things got better. The Wi-Fi was weak, non-functional. We reported it multiple times and were promised a "technician" who never arrived. We eventually just gave up trying to connect. Being 20 meters from the water bus is convenient, but not when you're too exhausted to enjoy the city. Between the rude service, the broken promises on amenities, and the 24/7 noise from the street and canal, this was far from the "suite" experience we paid for.

Liked: Cleanliness
Staff were great. Room was clean. Decent continental breakfast.
The room was in very good condition and felt 100% Venetian. The bed was comfortable, linens better than acceptable, bathroom amenities on par with a four-star, and very reasonable prices in the minibar. Our view from the Rialto view room was the reason we sat looking out the window while we settled in for bed, instead of actually sitting in the bed.
The only problem we encountered was the towel warmer. Since it was winter the air conditioning was disabled. The towel warmer would not turn off. The room would get very warm because of this and the heat coming up from lower rooms. We opened the window, which was great until about 6 AM, when the cargo boats unload at the dock right outside your window. Please keep in mind: we are American, so we are very accustomed to sleeping in AC.
In closing, it’s a great hotel in a great location, in Venice. Would definitely stay again, even in the winter.
Quirky, clean, great location. Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. Confusing layout with lots of stairs up and down even after the lift, but this is really just due to the age of the building
