Top Vondelparkpaviljoen Hotel Reviews
Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Museum Quarter
10/10 Excellent
"My second time staying here. Great location. Clean!"
Leonardo Boutique Hotel Amsterdam Vondelpark
8/10 Good
"The location was ideal for visiting all the prime museums, which is why we chose it. However, for a boutique hotel, the room was sadly lacking. It was quite small, as I understand most Amsterdam small hotels to be. However, ours didn’t have a window, just a glass door that led to a rooftop area that was off-limits. We could open the door a crack for air but it was minimal. The closet, a bulky fake wood unit from the 80s, had a door that didn’t close properly. It didn’t have enough space for all our clothing and we were there for over a week. A visit to IKEA for a roomier updated rendition is recommended. The bathroom shower door was a half door that caused a minor flood if one wasn’t careful. The shower head also was one of those hand-held models, though affixed to the wall. On the plus side, the bed was comfy and the room was quiet. The coffeemaker and fridge were appreciated snd well used. The Leonardo chain is big on having everything—from requesting room service to asking for more towels—through their app. I’m a firm believer in hospitality that begins and ends with people. Fortunately, its front desk staff were always friendly and delivered on all our requests. Glad that the chain at least is getting their staffing right, at least at this property. There’s just more room for improvement in room decor and ambiance to make this truly a boutique hotel."

8/10 Good
"New towels would be nice. Towels were on the small size and scratchy, well worn towels. Invest in a new one once in a while. Also we didn't need our towels changed every day, we hung them up but recieved new towels anyway. The hotel itself was a great place to stay. Very convenient. Would stay again if we are ever in Amsterdam."
Leonardo Eden Hotel Amsterdam City Center
10/10 Excellent
"Seamless check in process. A short walk/bike ride from some popular spots. Quiet area at night to relax. Clean hotel, ac in the room, and friendly staff."
Owl Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful hotel and very near to the art museums. Food is nearby as well. The staff was so nice and helpful. We went in September which was a combination of rain and sun."
Huygens Place
10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I planned a week's stay in Amsterdam (with a day trip to Bruges). Our plan was to visit a number of museums, as well as the Anne Frank house, starting with the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, so we wanted a hotel that would be close to those, as well as close to a tram stop, so we could extend our reach through the city easily. Although it wasn't exactly clear on the maps, it appeared that the Huygens Place hotel was reasonably close to the Overtoom tram stop, and just the other side of the Vondelpark from our two key museums. It's closer than that. The front door of the hotel is around the corner from Overtoom, on Constantijn Huygenstraat, and less than half a block to the Vondelpark, a 5-7 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum. The 397 bus took us from the airport to the Leidseplein stop, a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is composed of three houses side-by-side. There are four floors, with a lift. But the floors of two of the three houses are lower, with a short flight of stairs to reach those rooms. Our room was small, with limited space to hang clothes. There is a safe, and a small refrigerator. The bed takes up most of the room. There is a mini-split for heating and cooling, but electricity to the room requires insertion of a room key into a slot inside the door. The bathroom is modern, a walk-in shower, and a hair dryer. We were very pleased with the room, and with the helpfulness of the staff."
S&A Vondel Park Hotel

"Room was comfortable, staff were friendly and location was good but the bed linen had quite a few stains"

"Cet établissement a décidément du caractère! L’endroit est paisible et bien situé. Le personnel est attentif"
Amsterdam Marriott Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was perfect size, clean, bed very comfortable, cleaning staff good and helpful. Reception book in and out was quick and helpful. Information and taxi booking very efficient and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable and sufficient, although the hot food we would have preferred a bit hotter. Staff were friendly and efficient, seated quickly. Gluten free was catered for and lots of choices. One member of staff, Angela Hang, was very helpful with my gf and also very professional, efficient and lovely to talk too. The only problem that we encountered was at breakfast on the Thursday. We felt invisible, seated quickly no problem there, took a while to be asked for our drinks order, was busy so understood, took my gf order. We were not asked for our egg order and could not get their attention, had to as for more milk twice and gave up and went to get. The lad did apologise about the milk. When asked when we left if all was okay I did say and write a comment on what happened. Very apologetic and a note and fruit was sent to our room apologising plus free drinks at the bar. That was nice and it was the only because of 1 member of staff I couldn’t fault the rest. The hotel could not have been more apologetic. Our stay was here was very good and we would return."
