Very nice staff. It was a nice breakfast and they were very accomadation with gluten free options. The gluten free bread was quite nice which doesn't happn often. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful natural setting, river, falls, forest, isolation. However, we give it a low 2-star because we disliked the deliberately confusing way restaurant menus are arranged so that a single meal can end up costing more than the room. Eg restaurant opening hours in the morning leave guests NO choice but to go go for excessively priced breakfast if they wish to eat and check out before 10.30AM (when the normal one opens). Didn't straightforward at all. You might consider bringing your own wine and snacks and save especially if you have a large family group.

Thank you for your review, I'm sorry your brunch experience was not excellent.Breakfast is served every day from 7:30 am to 10:15 am, and on Sundays only we serve brunch starting at 10:45. The difference in those hours is indicated on our website and our front desk staff will also make the distinction if you book with them directly. Our breakfast is 25 and the brunch is 45. What is included in those prices is also different.Again, I am very sorry about the brunch not being the experience you were looking for, please feel free to reach out to me for your next booking, I will be happy to make the reservations for you, and make sure you are happy with our services.

I was on crutched with a sprained ankle, but we were put in a room on the 4th floor only accessible by 2 flights of stairs. Floors 1-3 were all accessible by lift, but they did not change the room for us.

He had a special request for food in order to enjoy breakfast there and they took care of obtaining what was necessary. Thank you very much! Being able to have breakfast there with the beautiful waterfall was lovely!

Repos et beauté de l'endroit.
Superbe endroit, calme, dans la nature. Personnel efficace , souriant. Grande chambre dans la partie éco modge, avec une petite terrasse qui donne sur un espace vert , des plantes et la rivière. Un espace piscine et jacuzzi appréciables Le restaurant est un peu cher mais les mets étaient très bons. On peut partir randonner vers le parc de la Gatineau pour sillonner un des nombreux sentiers, à pied. Beaucoup d'activités proposées au village. Seul bémol : pas de petit-déjeuner en self service. C'est un peu mong et peu de choix d'assiette, pour ceux qui n'apprécient pas le "salé" .

Moulin Wakefield poor service
The front desk staff asked for my vehicle information when we checked in; however, they did not warn me to make sure my Ontario sticker was current. The Ontario government no longer charges for stickers or provides new ones but you can update online. While I was there, very sneaky Gatineau police ticketed my car twice in a row at 8:30 am for not having a valid sticker. There was no ticket or notice left on my car so I was unaware until I got home, wherein I received two tickets from Gatineau police for $500 each. When I asked the front desk why they didn't warn customers of this egregious practice, they said I should have know about it as CTV news in Ontario did a piece about it given how many Ontario drivers have been targeted while in Gatineau. This is simply bad and disgraceful customer service. I would never to the the Moulin Wakefield again. As well, I could only get a massage from someone who was not an RMT and the massage was substandard.

Séjour Mémorable sur un site enchanteur.
Quel bel endroit pour relaxer et profiter de la nature, les sentiers, la tranquillité et que dire de la cuisine et du service. Nous avons bien apprécié la piscine et le spa, la literie et la grandeur de la chambre ( bâtiment Éco). De plus, il y avait une borne de recharge à notre disposition! Il faut absolument aller voir le pont de bois.

Nous y avons séjourné en juillet 2023. Nous avons adoré! Le site de l’hôtel est super beau! Nous avons apprécié le terrain au bord des chutes pour se détendre et prendre un café. Nous avons adoré le restaurant également. Et quel service de notre serveuse!

Staff were great. The only negative is that we received a coupon to apply to our restaurant meal. We forgot to present it before our meal, and when we asked the next day, there was no way to process it. We did get a credit against a future stay, but since this property is far away for us, we're not sure when or if we might return. Otherwise, everything A1

the room was clean and cozy, yes, but small and didn’t look worth its price. the bed was nice, though. The food at the restaurant was very disappointing. The main pork and laviori were too Salty, too many fried dishes, the dishes in the entire course didn’t feel like they were in harmony.

This facility is wonderful, enriched by excellent staff who were all friendly, helpful and happy. I would recommend that hold or grab bars be installed in the bathtub/shower which in my suite was very deep and difficult to access without fear of falling (older knees). A wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Food was superb.
