"We stayed at The Grove in December 2025 with our toddler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel felt magical at Christmas, beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming throughout. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well set up for a family stay, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. The staff were exceptional: genuinely friendly, attentive, and especially thoughtful with our little one. Dining was excellent, with great options and flexibility for families, and the grounds were stunning even in winter, perfect for walks. A truly luxurious but family-friendly hotel. We felt very well looked after and would absolutely return."

"In my line of work, I found that Ricky Road was perfect for ease of moving around Watford and the surrounding areas using public transport or by car. Blackout curtains would have been useful due to working nights, but you can't have it all. All in all I enjoyed my stay 10 out of 10 "
