"Do not pay for breakfast through Expedia.the hotel knows nothing about it and now I have to apply for a refund. Hotel is very dated. It must have been a very plush place at one time. It is still nice and the staff were very pleasant. Most of the electrical plugs are on the lamps the bed is Heavenly."

"The Menger is such a beautiful, historic hotel. It sits beside the Alamo and is within walking distance to all major attractions. The rooms are tastefully decorated with antique furniture. Our only complaint was the air wouldn’t cool below 75 degrees."
