Reef View Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I would highly recommend the buffet breakfast - it was delicious! And the beach is across the street as well as more than one pool, restaurants and shopping!"

Palm Bay Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, peaceful resort. Pros: The little beach bungalows you stay in are just lovely. The sunsets are glorious, especially when watched from the Sunset Bar. There is plenty to do: You can swim, snorkel, bushwalk, paddle board, kayak, use the pool, have a spa treatment... Wildlife is everywhere which is a nice treat. The food in the restaurant is great. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Cons: You get eaten alive by sand flies, so make sure you invest in the insect repellent they sell there. It's not easy to get water either - they only sell small bottles, and they don't recommend drinking the tap water (it does smell a bit gross). I probably bought six of them a day. However, the staff will fill a jug of filtered water for you at the bar for you to take to your room if you ask."

"Great holiday!"

The Sundays
10/10 Excellent
"All the hotel staff service was excellent. Hotel was convenient easy access to the few places on the island especially with the buggy. Breakfast and dinner selections were limited at the Catseye lounge. The room was spacious as well as the bathroom. There was a fly when we checked into the room and found a roach in the cupboard. So do clean the utensils and cups before using as there are a lot insects around the island."

Beach Club
8/10 Good
"Very conveniently located. Not great as a solo traveller. Left for a considerable length of time at the end of each mean whilst couples and groups were attende to. Too busy and food overpriced"

Daydream Island Resort
8/10 Good
"This is still a great destination. Rooms are clean and spacious and grounds well maintained. The breakfasts were the big let down. Hot foods, eggs, bacon, etc were cold from the servery and coffee often only luke warm. Otherwise a great place to stay."

Qualia
8/10 Good
"qualia is one of the most beautiful properties we have visited. The setting, architecture, views, and atmosphere truly feel special and uniquely Australian. Our arrival experience was excellent. Noemi provided a warm airport pickup, smooth check-in, and a thoughtful overview of the property and room. The accommodations themselves were stunning. We also had an incredible “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Pedro, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The main challenge during the first 24 hours was inconsistency in service attentiveness. At times, particularly at the pool and during our first dinner at Long Pavilion, service felt less proactive than expected for a property at this level. Drink refills, reservation follow-up, and simple check-ins occasionally required prompting rather than feeling naturally anticipated. What truly elevated the experience was the response from leadership. Rebecca, the General Manager, was exceptional: thoughtful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely interested in feedback. Her professionalism and accountability significantly improved the remainder of our stay. Beach Club dinner was another standout, with warm staff, relaxed pacing, and beautifully prepared food and cocktails. Overall, qualia delivers an extraordinary setting and many memorable moments. While there were some early service inconsistencies, the property’s beauty, excursions, dining, and strong leadership respon"

"Great location and Edge pool is fantastic. Property could use a deep clean but tidy enough. Overall enjoyed and would stay again. "
