"The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked as expected. All the staff were friendly and courteous. A very pleasant experience. Breakfast was better than expected although we couldn’t eat most of the hot foods. They had omelets with veggies and some sort of meat, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, hot oatmeal, waffle station, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt as well as an assortment of little muffins, bread, and bagels. They also had some decent looking bananas, apples, and refrigerated fruit cups as well as juices, coffee, and tea. The only complaint I had was the hot water was barely Luke warm so it wouldn’t steep tea. However, I used the microwave to heat my cup of water to temperature. "

"We always enjoy our stay here. Imani, the front desk clerk, is such a delight to talk with. The mattresses are getting a little saggy, but the historic charm and comfort of the hotel is always on point. We appreciate being able to walk to restaurants and the convenient locations to drive to whatever we need. We were bummed the Swamp Fox closed an hour earlier than advertised, though. "
