"Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!"

"The first room we were given was joined to a faulty and extremely noisy water pump, which kept us awake every hour during the first night. We had a wedding to go to the next day and obviously wanted to look our best, not tired pale and wizzened. Thankfully, we were moved to another room far enough away, to not hear the pump. I'm not sure why we had not been given the second much nicer superior room from the start, as this was our first stay there. This hotel has beautiful grounds, and the accommodation on the 2nd and 3rd night was pleasant, clean and comfortable. We would return."

"Very lovely hotel. Great welcome from staff and would recommend. Overall reasonably priced for location, close to Oxford and Blenheim Palace. However, to be a 5star it is about detail. The sealant around the bath needs replacing, the towels were very “tired” and fragrance diffuser in the bathroom was empty."

"What a lovely cosy shepherd's hut in a quiet field with 2 other huts well spaced apart. I never heard any of the other guests. It was perfect as a little hideaway to relax after working in the area. Very clean."
