"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our visit. The facilities were well maintained, and overall we were very happy with our stay. The only issue we experienced was with the balcony. There were pigeons regularly staying there, and unfortunately a large part of the balcony was covered with pigeon droppings, making it difficult to use and enjoy the outdoor space. We love animals and understand that this can be difficult to control, but we feel the balcony could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Apart from this, everything else was excellent, and we would be happy to stay here again."

"For the price we paid, the room was surprisingly spacious, had been recently renovated so in excellent condition and also very clean. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, however the staff on reception at the time of check in were both very friendly and helpful. When booking a less expensive get-away for just one night, this honestly had everything you would need. Again, just to highlight, in comparison to most places we have stayed in this price bracket, the room was exceptionally spacious and well maintained, really couldn’t say a bad word about it!"

"Very clean & tidy room and comfy bed.Lovely little touches. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool etc were great to use. Lovely outside spaces to eat and drink. The restaurant served delicious food with very attentive staff.The grounds were very well maintained. Highly recommend a stay."

"Expectations exceeded reality. Initially the astetics of arriving at the pub/hotel looked promising and the ambiance of the bar area pleasent with polite reception staff.The room (4) was at first site ok, but a more detailed look revealed a more dirty aspect and not as expected. The windows slatted blind very dusty, corner of the bathroom by the door, grime. Black mold in the shower around the metal shelf, the shower head holder broken and loosy fitted the drooping shower head. Under the bed obviously not cleaned as rubbish found. Dinner was expensive, £19.95 for very overly cooked fish and 12 chips with a thimbe full of minted peas (actually the best part of the meal) We were very hungry as travelled to get there so we just got on with it, on hindsight we should have complained but we're short of time to get to our evening function. Breakfast access was through the bar, unfortunately we were met with an array of dirty glasses left on the bar from the night before some half full still which being honest wasn't something we expected to see. Just not the standard expected. Full small English breakfast was made with cheap ingredients, low quality. Understood it's run in a shoestring budget for maximum profit but a real disappointment in our eyes. Shame as we won't be rebooking again for the price we paid."

"Redwing was v clean and the staff v helpful. However, it was advertised as having a snooker table and games in a have room but there was only a fruit machine. Also the air conditioning in the bar/dining area didn't work. Although there was a bar with gin, there was no tonic!!! It was an extremely hot week and the bedrooms were very hot but the fans provided did little to help.1 of the beds in the twin room really needs a new mattress as it was completely sunken in the middle and I would suggest taking an extension lead as there is a huge lack of electric points, with none near the beds. There are however lots of things close by and I would highly recommend Hamerton Zoo."
