The warmest welcome from Velina, Michalis & family
Velina & Michalis make you feel like home from the very first seconds you get at Keramos. Breakfast is a real treat & dinner at Vegera (the family's restaurant) is delicious traditional Cretan cuisine. Their family are the most welcoming and lovely people I've met in Greece in 15 years.

Simple room but a very gracious owner. We don't speak Greek and she didn't speak English but she prepared a lovely dinner for us. We felt like we had become part of her family.

N hesiter pas à y séjourner. Vous etes soignés comme un coq en pâte. Chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner fait maison sous vos yeux. Une bonne , excellente adresse à ne donner qu'aux vrais amis.

Bekvämt läge mitt i Zaros
Gemytligt och trevligt hotell mitt i centrala Zaros. Bra utgångsläge även för utflykter i trakten. Mycket bra frukost och bekväma rum med inredning i gammal och traditionel kretansk stil. Rekomenderas och jag återkommer gärna.

Great plaace to stay
Lovely mountain village. Our welcome was great and we were offered tea or coffee as we arrived. The room was a bit tired and unfortunately the bedding smelt a bit of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was a bit basic and the drain cover in the shower was not fitting properly. The traditional Cretan breakfast was superb and very different to any I have had before - everything was home made and was absolutely delicious! Wifi was good and fast - I work 'on the move' so i did need it.

In middle of nowhere
Booked for 3 nights. However checked out in 2 days since it’s very inconvenient. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere. I had to book another hotel at last minute for the other day.

Keramos is in the middle of the village Zaros. Use an online map to check it! Secondly Zaros is exactly in the middle of Crete where you can travel everywere! Last, a kind suggestion is that when you are traveling is better to look for something that suits your needs!

Lovely hosts, lovely breakfast
The hosts gave us a lovely welcome. We had a balcony to the back if the property, with an open view to the west and Psiloritis. The breakfast is s amazing as they make advertise it :) Hopefully you have a sweet and a cheese tooth! The only downpoint: The room doors to the stairway aren't really sound proof. Whenever the first guys go for breakfast in the morning - you will know it.

Very friendly and good welcome. Breakfasts amazing......if you like pastries etc. Coffee and showers not brilliant but overall we much enjoyed our visit and the location was perfect for us.

Nonostante siamo arrivati molto tardi. Ci ha accolti una simpaticissima vecchietta che pur parlando solo greco non ha avuto problemi a farsi capire. Stanza grande e spaziosa. La colazione era fantastica e talmente abbondante che ci hanno datto un sacchettino da portare via. Personale cortese e gentile.

Venus pour profiter de la montagne et faire les gorges de Rouvas, ce séjour a été très agréable, l'hôtel est tenu par une famille formidable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et dotées d'un balcon au calme. Le petit déjeuner est maison et gargantuesque (odeur délicieuse dès 6h du matin). La famille tient également une ferme et un restaurant (Vegera) qui est à tomber

Amazing hospitality and breakfast!
If you want to be treated to an amazingly generous and authentic Greek experience go here. Parking could have been a bit tricky but we arrived early and it was fine. Everything else was great though. The breakfast was just incredible. If you go to this hotel you MUST also eat at Vegera restaurant nearby too in the evening. Also out of this world and amazing value. Loved our visit and were glad to have chosen this hotel rather than Ida which was a bit out of town and couldn't have been such a lovely experience.

Η κυρία Κατερίνα για μένα είναι άξια θαυμασμού. Φιλικότατη, πρόσχαρη, ακούραστη και τέλεια μαγείρισσα. Το πρωινό με όλων των ειδών τις πίτες είναι το κάτι άλλο. Αξίζει!!!

guesthouse style accommodation
This is not a five star luxury resort it is a comfortable country hotel where the people are incredibly hospitable and friendly, the service is second to none and I would highly recommend it as an off the path getaway. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful with lots of things to see and do by car.

Thank you for your comments! The truth is that we offer a large breakfast, not only with our special pies but also with butter, marmelade, ham and cheese tost, fresh milk etc. We offer breakfast for the tastes of every guest! And all made with fresh farm products! Best regards!

Echte Gastfreundschaft in den Bergen
Hier lernt mann das echte Kreta kennen. Große Zimmer mit Balkon, Wahnsinns -Frühstück mind. 15 verschiedene selbstgemachte Backwaren, zur Familie gehört das Restaurant Vegera , dort bekommt mann für nur 14 € eine Riesen Auswahl an lekkeren Essen, sehr sehr gut. Das Hotel bietet auch den Besuch einer Farm an- unbedingt machen- ein tolles Erlebnis!

Hotel mit tollem Frühstück
Das Frühstück mit einer reichhaltigen Auswahl an süßem und salzigem Gebäck ist wirklich umwerfend. Die Zimmer sind einfach und ruhig. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen für Ausflüge in die Gegend (Rouvas-Schlucht, Festos, Küste). Wenn man dann abends noch in das Restaurant der Familie geht, ist der Tag gerettet. Das Menü inkl. Wein für 2 Personen für 18 € war jedesmal eine tolle Überraschung.

Hotel con anfitriona muy acogedora
Katerina es una auténtica anfitriona cretense: muy trabajadora, amable y cariñosa. Se preocupa mucho porque una disfrute de la estancia en su hotel y pone todo su corazón en la cocina y la lumbre que te acoge nada más llegar.

Un havre de paix chez katerina
Nous avons séjourné du 7 au 14 décembre 2016. L'hôtel Kéramos se trouve dans un petit village de montagne. Nous avons été accueilli par Katerina , la propriétaire. Cette personne ainsi que son mari sont d'une très grande gentillesse. Le matin , lorsque nous descendions déjeuner, nous l'entendions chanter dans sa cuisine. Toujours souriante. Un vrai bonheur.........et d'une énergie!!!! Très vite, nous nous sommes sentit chez nous. Katerina est une excellente cuisinière, elle nous a concocté des délicieux petits plats. Le petit déjeuner est très très copieux. !!!!! Merci Katerina pour ces moments de bonheur et pour tous vos cadeaux. C'est certain, nous reviendrons très vite. Dominique et Pascal

Jag stannade en vecka med hotellet som bas och gjorde bilutflykter åt alla väderstreck. Zaros är en bergsby som ligger strategiskt mitt bland bergen för den som vill uppleva mer än bara kusterna och se hur den gamla livsstilen lever kvar till stor del i bergen. Hotellet är enkelt och drivs av en gammal dam som bara kan prata grekiska men gör sig förstådd ändå. Hon gör allt för att du ska trivas. Frukosten är en upplevelse och du kan inte äta allt, men lugn, du får en doggybag. En natt är ett måste.

Sehr familiäre Pension, das haben wir gesucht, nicht immer gefunden in Kreta. Leute freundlich, lokales Essen, reichliches Frühstück (Tüte zum Mitnehmen für Überzähliges wurde gleich mitgeliefert!). Das Restaurant der Familie ("Vegera Zaros") war das beste Essen in Kreta überhaupt. Lecker!

Pas plus chaleureux comme accueil que le personnel de cette hôtel familial. Petit déjeuner copieux (on vous fournit un sac pour emporter les restants) mais néanmoins délicieux. Chambre très convenable. Probablement un des séjour au meilleur rapport qualité prix de notre voyage de 2 semaines en Crète. Sommes restés 2 nuits à cette hôtel. parking attenant. Resto appartenant aux mêmes propriétaires à 20m de l'hôtel vaut le détour.

Villa KERAMOS une étape incontournable
Allez à la villa Kéramos si vous voulez découvrir la véritable vie des crétois. L'hôtel est tenu par une famille aussi gentille qu'attachante qui essaie de vous faire connaitre la région et vous réserve un très bon accueil. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien climatisées (indispensable en été) et le petit déjeuner est DELICIEUX. Zaros et ses environs sont à découvrir absolument ! Avis aux randonneurs.

Hôtel familial agréable
Hôtel familial dans un village de montagne. Personnel très très gentil, petit-déjeuner copieux et typique, fait maison. Chambre avec TV, climatisation, simple mais propre. Nous avons d'ailleurs eu le choix entre 3. Restaurant familial proche et au top!

Hotel i særklasse. Flotte rom, flotte omgivelser, spesielt utforma. Fabelaktig frukost, servert og forklart på ein heilt egen måte. Alt laget av lokale og egenproduserte råvarer. Må prøves!! Veldig koselig familiedrevet hotel. Byen veldig koselig, fin å spasere rundt i å ta bilder. Gode restauranter i nærheten, anbefaler Vegera. I nærområdet er det også mange turstier og grotter å få med seg.

Superb Hospitality
This is the best family run hotel on Crete! The operators go out of their way to welcome their guests and the breakfast is spectacular and authentic as are the decorations of this great little place.

Une adresse incontournable. Accueil chaleureux
L accueil est vraiment chaleureux et familial, ils font tout pour que vous soyiez satisfaits et ils ont meme installés un ascenseur afin de faciliter la clientèle à accéder à leurs chambres. Seul reproche la literie pas assez ferme (mal au dos et réveils fréquents quand mon conjoint bougeait) mais cela ne m empêcherait pas d y retourner.Le petit déjeuner était gargantuesque et délicieux (sucré et salé aussi).

Warm Cretan Hospitality
If you are looking for a true Cretan experience, this is the place to stay! From the moment we arrived at Keramos we were greeted by the warmth & generosity of a family that loves to welcome you into their home. From the coffee & scones on arrival to Grandmas famous pastries at breakfast. Extras are packed into a bag to take for a picnic. Zaros is a little hidden gem. Mountain walks or short drives to beautiful beaches. Vivvi's little restaurant around the corner "Vergara" is another highlight. Cretan food at its best!

Gastvrijheid staat hoog in het vaandel.
Heerlijk plekje midden op het eiland waar nog een echte Krentenze sfeer heerst. De gasten worden ontzettend verwend met een heerlijk ontbijt en kunnen naar keuze dit ontbijt aanvullen of veranderen. In het familierestaurant dichtbij het hotel serveert de familie heerlijke maaltijden met zelf gekweekte producten. In de omgeving zijn diverse wandelmogelijkheden en het strand is binnen een half uur rijden goed te bereiken. Een aanrader is een bezoek aan de ezeltjesopvang. Wij geven dit hotel een tien met een griffel! Chapeau!
