“We did not enjoy our stay at the Black Isle. The price we were charged for what we got was wild. Way overpriced for a private bunk bed room in a hostel. The room was very hot, the only way to cool it down was to open the windows, but it was very loud outside until midnight when the Secret Garden closed down. There was black mould in the bathrooms and very few amenities in the room. The mattresses were thin and felt like the springs were digging into our backs. I will note that the bar staff...

“My single room on second floor was clean, comfortable and quiet....perfect for a good night's sleep. Hotel is well situated, just a 10 minute walk to the train station or a nip around the corner to the Nairn Museum. Breakfast was sufficient...partly self serve, partly hot; but staff was a little scarce so no second cup of coffee was to be found. No gluten free bread, but several GF cereals and plenty of other choices. If I am back that way again, I would rebook but stay for longer.”

“We were Not !! Told we were in a chalet cottage, it didn't advertise cottage either it was dark dingy and uncomfortable. The continued breakfast was stale croissants and the orange juice the bottle was black. There were no 24hr staff either ”
