Maine Highlands 2 Stars Hotels

"Rehabbed historic buildings in the center of the UMaine campus. It looks like every square inch of the building was converted to hotel space, so rooms like mine were retrofitted for hotel use. Staff at hotel were friendly and helpful. Nice amenities of small gym, cafe and a library that can be used for work, which is good because there was no desk in my room. I think the rooms vary in design, so investigate details before booking. I had a good stay and would definitely stay here again when not...

"Breakfast included with stay"

"The only thing I didn't like was the chlorine in the pool was overwhelming. It actually gave me a headache. Everything else was great and the staff is awesome!!!"

"Nice size breakfast room with ability to gather in groups larger than 2 or 4. BUT I feel the trash bags should have been removed from the room daily even if the room was serviced only every 3 days."

"It was beautifully maintained? My room was in the design of an old Maine Camp, it was really well done. The beds were comfortable and there was a microwave, refrigerator and even a little breakfast nook. A great place to stay"

"This was a first for me, I had never stayed in a B&B before. The breakfast was great. I did like you had an option of the room with a bathroom and one without. I’m glad we picked the one with because on the second night someone was in the other room and they were noisy and dropping a lot of items on the floor and shutting the door loudly. I will not score this B&B low because it’s not their fault. This is a lovely place if you like B&B. Thanks for the experience. "

"It was clean, well-maintained and the staff were helpful, courteous and nice. The only downside was the noise from the nearby freeway. But since the decision was made to build the hotel right next to a major interstate highway, there's not a lot to be done about that now. "

"What a great place to stay. Easy to get in and out of, the room was clean and comfortable. My son and I even caught a few smallmouth in the river next to it. I definitely recommend it."

"Room was very comfortable and having microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot was an added benefit. Very quiet so must have solid walls and good insulation. We were very pleased with mostly everything. Towels, coffee, cleaning was not provided one day, but we did not leave room until noon, so maybe services aren’t available after noon. "

"Easy check in and checkout. Only gave staff 3 stars because a N.A. wasn’t available- we never saw anyone- keys were left out in envelope for us and we used the key drop on the way out - easy peasy . Location was perfect for our needs. WiFi was weak and we had better LTE but room was clean and warm which was great. It had just snowed the day before but the parking lot was still a bit messy - thankfully we had boots . Plenty of food options near by and appreciated the welcome letter from the...
