"Beautiful grand hotel, amazing hall, high ceilings, great value for money, it is really worth paying a little extra for the classic rooms to experience this grand building (the cosy rooms on the top floor are fine but small, low ceiling and not particularly good value for money). The buffet breakfast is in a grand classic ballroom-type room with 5m high ceilings. Really worth it. Service was really pleasant, but they allocated us a cosy room on arrival vs the classic room we had booked:...

"We arrived to a friendly greeting from the manager who upgraded our room to one of their newly renovated rooms, which was wonderful and appreciated. The room was a great size and had a very comfortable queen bed and a twin off to the side, along the wall. There was direct access to a balcony that looked out over loch ness, with a decent angle view. The bathroom had a sizable shower with rain shower head that was really nice. "Enjoyed the continental breakfast. Easy access for the city night life. Only issue would be parking as street has only loading bays rather than parking, these are only available to park in after 6pm. "

"It looked as though the property had recently been redone. Check in was in the restaurant where we were pretty much ignored until we finally approached someone after several minutes. "

"I have stayed here a few times over the last year on business trips. Friendly, clean and tidy and good value for money. The King and double bedrooms I have stayed in are spacious and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Nice touch that when they get to recognise you as a regular, a room upgrade is simply done as a nice gesture without asking - excellent customer service that puts the guest first. Happened at least three times fairly recently "
