Transport via bus was excellent from nearby the hotel into Stavanger centre which was good as there are not many dining or local shopping opportunities in the area. "We really looked forward to staying here but our stay was absolutely ruined by smokers next door. We paid extra for a harbour view which was lovely but we could not open the window or sit on the shared balcony because our room was next to a smoking room and the guests there exercised their right to smoke. When we mentioned this in the morning the customer service was appalling with the receptionist shrugging her shoulders and asking what she could do. Well; for one thing not have a smoking room...

Expedia app is not convenient to use for communicating with the property, and the app also prevented exchange of email addresses (which would have been much more convenient once we were on the road and working from mobile phones). "We got our key card after getting help from someone staying there as she was walking out the door. Then we had a very hard time getting the door to our room open. The room was adequate but nothing to make it special. We felt like we were staying at the big hotel in the movie “The Shining”. There was nobody around and not a sound. Kind of creepy."

The hotel and room were of high standard and our room was sufficient for a family of 5. Highly recommend!!!"
