"Location was very close to the Iyotetsu train station and located on a very big mall with lots of things to do and lots of good restaurants. The morning breakfast was excellent but not as good as the Dormy in Wakayama but still good. Free washes with 100 yen dryer and free popsicles and drinks at the onsen was nice. Will definitely choose this place again"

Wish parking was simple like Osaka with turntable and self parking but this is just a wish. Parking was cheaper outside then at hotel was expecting parking to be included in price otherwise would have parked at lot right behind goe cheaper. Maybe I missed that when reserving hotel that there was a charge. "

"Staff went out of the way to resolve the issue of a cockroach in our room (they moved us to another room without hesitation). It’s well located, close to the castle and shopping, as well as being on a major boulevard with tram connections to Dogo Onsen and JR stations. Breakfast is average, but likely not in the hotel’s direct control (it’s in a separate property."

"The hotel was and room was nice. The staff was nice and I liked the location. The only downfall was the breakfast. Of all the breakfasts I had in Japan this was the worse. The hotel is close to the Matsuyama City station and short distance to a nice walking area. Can walk to the Castle too. B Close to a great covered shopping area too. "

"Twin-bed room, one-night stay, 13/02/2024 - 14/02/2024. This hotel is super clean and comfortable, like most hotels in Japan. Service was excellent and unthinkable for European standards, compared to the room price (36,30 euro including taxes). Two unique aspects: 1. Smell: the corridor on the second floor had a wonderful, indescribable scent of clean like the one one you sometimes smell on clothes. It was so enjoyable! 2. Smile: As the hotel name suggests, staff members had a large smile...

"Overall, a great hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Loved the complimentary mandarin orange juice taps that were provided for guests. The hotel was also located in a good location which was near the onsens and convenience stores nearby. The shopping street was also a stone's throw away. Definitely value for money and will consider staying in this property again when I am back in the area. "

"Great location, one of the closest hotels to Dogo Onsen. The staff are very friendly and professional, the onsite restaurant served a fusion ( French and Japanese) dinner and a buffet breakfast. We (a family with 1 adult daughter ) enjoyed the 2 night stay at this hotel, I highly recommend Chaharu ！"

"A boutique (15 room) hotel built into the mitsukoshi department store. Service is superb. Rooms are large, bright and very tastefully appointed. You get a private sauna which has the unfortunate effect of super heating your bathroom so perhaps ask for this to be switched off in advance of tour arrival if it’s summer. The restaurant, Aino, is super and the staff hugely accommodating and attentive (they opened and prepared a full buffet just for us, which is extraordinary). Breakfast is a set menu...
