"The B&B Porta Marina Ortigia has an excellent location, next to a lovely church in the Historical part of Siracusa (Ortigia), and close to both restaurants, cafes, shopping and the sea. We ordered the Double room - Executive, as I was traveling with my mother, and we needed a twin room. Usually that means two single beds, but here there was one big double bed in a large bedroom, and one double sofa-bed, made up in another large room, that also had a TV and a desk. As we had a stay of 9 days, and...

"Sadly we did not get to stay. Apparently there was a technical problem at the apartment. Alternative accommodation was proposed but no longer available by the time I saw the message posted on my Expdia account. Not what you want 3 days before your holiday is due to start. Fortunately I was able to find another apartment. We visited the property during our holiday and it looks excellent from the outside."

"Hotellet lever bestemt ikke op til sine 3 stjerner. Det er nedslidt - balkonen er f.eks. livsfarlig, der er ikke TV eller WiFi på værelset, morgenmad serveres på en café i nærheden, receptionens engelskkundskaber fraværende, rengøringen under al kritik og servicen generelt ringe... Men kan man leve med det, er hotellet meget charmerende og beliggenheden perfekt (undtaget parkeringsforholdene)."

"The rooms are very cute and comfortable with a clean bathroom and privat toilet. There is a very nice family who use the kitchen which gives the stay a local flavour and there is a nice market in the area. There is a cafe close to the apartment and that offcourse can be a bit noisy but it is also very local and in a very beautiful area. I would definitely choose to stay there again as Ortigia is a very charming part of the area. "
