"The Phuttal Residence is located on a beautiful river/canal. We stayed in the family apartment, though there were just the two of us. The furniture and accommodations were nothing fancy, but everything was clean and orderly. The breakfast was excellent. Even though we had a kitchen, we did not cook. Please note that you will need to order a taxi to find a restaurant. It is about a 10 minute drive to center of Ayutthaya."

"Property is a drive in Property, not good idea if travelling by foot, to get to nearest shop you need to walk on the highway no foot paths, the room was nice just like pictures. There is no safe in room and you can not lock door from outside no keys available so do not leave anything in room if travelling around, as your room will be fully accessible to anyone."

"Beautiful, simple room overlooking the river. Staff was very nice and friendly, however, seemed to be new and untrained in the hospitality industry. The place could use a good cleaning - the ceiling lights were full of dead flies. Breakfast is included, but very simple. Functional, but not great. The restaurant, however, is excellent. Overall, for the price and location, it's a great stay. "

"Location of the hotel is quite good on the river and close to the train station and main road into Ayutthaya. Overall the hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. The shower was poor located above the bath. Water pressure was low and at busy times very little hot water. The flexible shower cable was too short and I had to squat to wash my whole body. "When we arrived there was no one. Just 2 little barking dogs that mad the place small like a dog's place. Soi dogs (friendly) on the stairs. The landlord only talked to my wife. No registration of my passport. This is not according to the law. The room is spacious and is actually a small appartment. The breakfast was more or less ok. It could be very nice but you just don't feel welcome and I suspect that there are a lot of hotels in the neighborhood that make you feel a lot better 'at home'."

"Stopped here for one night recently on my way back north. The location is good - only a couple of minutes away from the motorway. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed but only had one power point. Only cold water in the bathroom and I couldn't get the tv to work. Limited choice for breakfast - rice soup and toast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ok for a cheap one night stay. NB there is no lift in this building."
