“We flew in to San Jose around 12pm. We headed out of town towards La Fortuna. I thought this would get us out of the city and close to our first day of activities. The area was quiet. The room was very clean. We speak very little Spanish and the staff spoke very little English. However we were able to communicate to get what we needed. The hotel is one block from the Main Street. We found the supermarket with ease. The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit with a large breakfast of beans...

“Family that runs it is fantastic! Rooms are clean and comfortable with a view worth it alone! Quiet and the landscaping is beautiful! The restaurant is a must, I run a beef ranch and the ribeye was definitely one of the top 3 I’ve ever eaten! Will recommend and will be staying here again!”

“The couple who owns the place was very nice, accommodating and friendly. You have to pay attention when you first arrive, as the area is not marked very well. the beds were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect. ”

“These are pretty rustic cabins, but they are clean and comfortable. Also, the WiFi is fast. Expedia double booked the family cabin so when we arrived, the only cabin left was a studio with 2 full beds - and we are 5 people. The host called his daughter and she brought over a cot to put in the living area. We were so grateful not to have to find another place! I can't say enough nice things about this host. He lives next door and is totally willing to help out in any way. He has 3 milk cows...

“Room was spotless and comfortable. Beautiful spot. Host was great! Only thing I could suggest is the proper amount of towels for the amount of guests booked. We only had two towels for three guests. But this doesn’t affect how we feel about the place! Great stay!”

“I loved the room, the breakfast, the pool, the grounds (there were wonderful paths leading to nearby goats that you could see on a neighboring property). There was a sauna and a hot tub but neither was on. There was a sign for yoga but I didn't see any yoga session.”

“This place is a nice little respite from the busy city. We enjoyed the hot tub and a little walk on the property. The breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. We enjoyed the waterfall hike from tbe nearby farm. The restaurants in the area were also very nice. ”
