"I’m confident it will be better over time, but right now they have quite a bit to work on. Many drinking glass were not cleaned and spider web on some chairs. Despite >85% empty (my assumption) we got an apartment where we had to go up some stairs to reach it. No elevator and not possible to change. The reception is not very quick or helpful. We were expecting a kitchenette and a balcony and we didn't get either, the air con in the room was not working, the beds were slightly too hard, I asked the housekeeping staff to come back later and they proceeded to sigh and close the door. "Beautiful and comfortable home. The listing was a little incomplete so it was unclear exactly what we were getting but pleasantly surprised. One very confusing experience is they never mentioned an actual couple lives on-site and are the hosts. They came by when we got there and were very kind and accommodating. It just would have been helpful to know they would be there. The listing said it was entirely self check-in. "

"The space and layout was good. However we had to kill a big cockroach in the kitchen 20 minutes after checking in. The bedroom our boys were staying in the beds had ants crawling all over them. This place is a bit run down. The pictures are way nicer than reality. We paid $400 Canadian for the night which is not even close to being worth it."

"Really impressed with this hotel. On arrival, they provided us with a detailed map of the city and highlighted all the places worth visiting in the time we had. It was our daighters birthday on the day we visited and they set out a lovely table in the restaurant. Thank you, we will certainly recommend you."

"The location of the hotel was perfect. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The places they recommended for dinner, both nights, were spot on. We were needing to do laundry, but their washing machine was broken. The dryer was working so we hand washed all of our clothes from the past week in our bathroom, then the staff dried them for us for a nominal fee (8€ I believe). When we got back to our room, they were dry, folded, and sitting in baskets in our room. We would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel was authentic as is was a former convent! The rooms were cute, the beds were comfortable and the view was nice. The pool was perfect as it’s a small hotel so it was quiet and the poolside service was exceptional! We dined at the restaurant for dinner at it was mouthwateringly delicious! All in all a great 2-night stay for the price."

"Overall excellent for the price. Located just outside the old town of Évora which is easily accessible with a 10 minute walk. Nespresso machine in the room - no instant coffee! Hurray! Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and even included the option of freshly cooked waffles and omelette."
