“The double room was large, with a luxurious bathroom and an adjoining workspace. Breakfast was not only ample but flexible; you could mix any combination of items you wanted. Daniella was helpful in making sure we had everything we wanted.”

“Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.”

“Room was clean and tidy on arrival Staff went above and beyond very helpful nothing was to much Breakfast was amazing lots of choice whatever your taste and all the food that came out looked good liked the fact juice and pasties where available as well as tea/ coffee and toast. We took our dog and again the staff order water and happily gave him a sausage for his breakfast. A lovely hotel in centre of Britain definitely worth a stop over”

“Friendly and good time”

“Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast. LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good.”

“We always ask for a river view and it was greatly appreciated”

“A good impression on arrival as you drive to the front door. There are a few appointed disability parking spaces but there is additional space that can be used providing it does not limit the thoroughfare. Check-in was handled well for our group although dining that night as a group required meals to be pre-selected to help the catering staff. Whist complying with this requirement, the actual meal service was sporadic with some meals...

“Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)”

“Evening meal was good quality but breakfast is basic. Make sure you have a key to access the pub after hours!”

“You don't get good feeling when you get into the room and there weren't shampoo/body wash (delivered next morning). There is no reception and a call to the hotel, it was received by property manager. She mentioned that we didn't had the reservation from Expedia but upon insisting, she found it and took 10 mins to arrive for letting us in. For the price, it's not what I had expected from the room & amenities”

“Room clean and beautifully decorated. Warm, lovely hot shower, large fluffy towels. Staff friendly and helpful. Well positioned in the town and good parking.”

“Lovely hotel in beautiful location in the Pennines.”

“Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the oven worked well. Lots of opportunities to go on walks directly from the property too. We like to stay in beautiful places and this ticked that box! The only suggestions we came away with were that the...
