"We’ve stayed at Kingston Marriott before, however, I forgot to check if my room rate included breakfast which unfortunately it didn’t. Add parking, breakfast and expensive snacks, the room rate isn’t so affordable. We had issues with the hot water so it certainly woke us up taking a cold shower. The front desk said other guests also complained and offered us free parking."

"The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. However, the building is quite old. We stayed on the lower floor, and whenever guests walked around upstairs, the floor would noticeably shake, which was sometimes disruptive. Another issue was the toaster in the breakfast area. It was very slow and appeared to be malfunctioning, so guests had to wait a long time just to toast their bread. I would recommend replacing it with one or two newer toasters. This would be a small investment for the hotel but would greatly improve the breakfast experience for guests. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but a few updates would make a big difference."

"The good: the price. The room is spacious for one traveller. The fridge is big. It's quiet. The only other guest were 2 old couples. The bad: shower head fell off when I touched it. (Quick tip, turn off the water before trying to reattach.) Some lightbulbs were not functioning. Don't open the window or little flies get in through the rips in the screen. They don't bite but it took about a day to clear them. The smell left behind from the previous occupants is intense. I was able to wash one of the desks to tone it down a bit but keep this in mind if you are sensitive to smells. There seems to be an altogether different smell coming from the vent but I was able to block it easily with a plastic bag during my stay. The ugly: you will be intimated by the parking authority. Mentally prepare yourself. There is an additional 4% administration tax added to the bill a few days before check-in."
