I liked this place a lot, It’s near all the central activities and it is in an older building downtown, so if you’re super posh, maybe not for you. It wasn’t gross or dirty, but you can tell it has history. Super friendly staff and great location for price!

Wonderful hotel and very near to the art museums. Food is nearby as well. The staff was so nice and helpful. We went in September which was a combination of rain and sun.

Small and outdated, but got the job done. Decent location for walking to and from canals. Another family Entered our room as the Hotel had double booked. Had we not been there, our belongings would have been up for grabs. The hotel apologized, but offered nothing.

Hotel was in a good location, right near the canals. I walked all over the city and felt safe. I also went out at night by myself and walked back to my room alone as well and felt safe. I slept well and there was a giant soaking tub in my room - that was unexpected. The staff were super helpful - even helped arrange for a taxi to the next train station for me night before my departure.

The Owl Hotel is a delightful, cozy, and well located hotel. The reception desk is manned 24-7 and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Owl theme decor was fun and Basel the cat was the best amenity. The hotel is in an older building and has its idiosyncrasies, but suited our family quite well for our time in Amsterdam.

Good location, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Decor is a bit dated and twin rooms were quite small (but had nice leafy views towards Vondelpark). A kettle with tea and coffee etc in the room would have also been nice. You are asked to leave your key card at reception everytime you go out but there is no name check when you request it back later (often with different staff at the desk), so that felt like a potential security risk...anyone could go to reception and ask for your room key....Overall an OK place for a short stay though.

Great location and good for my needs as a solo traveller. I appreciated the staff’s accommodating my late check in past midnight!! At first I was surprised by the need to leave room key swipe card at the front desk when leaving, but upon reading online this can be common practice in areas where pickpocketing is common. In hindsight it was nice to know my room key was safe and sound when I was out and about and I actually missed that convenience of not having to worry about the keycard at my next hotel!!! Safe in the room was not easy to operate but I was not too worried about that

Wonderful staff and the hotel is located within walking distance of everything that you would want (food, bar, tourist attractions). The morning breakfast was very good! Our trip was during an unexpected heatwave at the hotel, which does not include air conditioning, however, the hotel included a fan which was very nice and helped us enjoy our trip. I would go back again.

A wonderful surprise, this boutique hotel was a great place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms cozy and comfortable after a day on the town. It was quiet, good for a nap while recovering from jet lag. The location is great, close to interesting streets of restaurants, the main museums and the trams for visiting the rest of Amsterdam.
