We love this property! Its quasi european hostel and Mcmenamins style with mostly shared baths and showers, but the location is great, the rooms are clean, the beds and pillows are comfy, and the staff is really the best; from the front desk people to all the cleaning personnel who do a tremendous job cleaning! Love this little motel!

Wonderful stay. Well designed apartment. So comfy and lovely. The record player and records were the perfect additive to the experience. Would add an end shower curtain however as the spray from the shower gets all over the vanity countertop.

We stayed in the Aston Suites. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. However, my husband who uses a cane would have had a challenge with getting to the front desk in the Norblad Hotel. I took care of checking in and the Astor Suites had an elevator which made it easy for my husband.

A great stay in Astoria, very comfortable room and lovely reception, very helpful. On street parking was simple. The perfect location to explore Astoria on foot. We walked all over and had a brilliant time. We stayed in king suite A which was great but it was very noisy as the door opened right to the reception, and not everyone respected quiet hours. They did provide earplugs, which was helpful. Sisu brewery was a great spot for food and drinks and had table service, vs the Fort George across the street which was very busy on a Sunday evening. Would stay again for sure but would look to stay in a room further away from reception.

If you like historic older hotels, you will find this quite charming. They let you know in advance that there are a lot of stairs to carry your bags up to check in. The front desk staff were very nice. Our room, a king suite, was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Great location. We parked on the street and felt our vehicle was safe. My husband said they did an excellent job on the remodeling.

We had the deluxe suite with the corner views; the suite was airy, very comfortable, and had a hanging mama San chair that my Wife adored. My only regret was not taking the staffers offer of narrowing a LP to play some vinyl while we stayed. I wish the water had been warmer, but Norblad is a charming, delightful hotel to stay at! Really excellent value for money. Full of unique character and although our room had no bathroom the communal bathrooms were super clean and plentiful. Parking was on the street but not hard to find and the hotel is located in the heart of this quaint town.

I’ve been here a few times. There was some construction going on outside that would wake me up each day. The provided ear plugs were useful. In my experience, the rooms with a bathroom tend to be quieter than the smaller rooms with shared bathroom. They’re all comfy and close to a lot of Astoria attractions. No TVs in the room, but you can borrow a turntable and listen to a record.
