“The hotel is in a great location. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Staff service could have been improved at check in and check out”

“Enjoyable stay”

“Really liked staying in a 356 year old hotel/pub. It was probably my favorite place on our 1 month journey in the UK. It was close to town and had very friendly staff. It was unique and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely come back.”

“Our room was immediately above the kitchen and the extractor fan was turned on at 6 in the morning, vibrating through the building. We had occasion to complain about noise of "techno" music from a speaker in the kitchen on one occasion and the matter was resolved immediately”

“Amazing location and charming spot. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. The pub and wonderful outdoor area attracted many locals and travellers. The walks to and from Birling Gap were stunning. What a spot!!”

“Comfortable clean room. Nice breakfast. Good value for money”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property nothing was too much trouble for Fiona and James and I have booked again for next year. The room was on the ground floor with a good shower, drinks and biscuits and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional and I can't wait to return.”
