“Lovely building in a quiet area but easily walkable to the town centre. There’s a car park right at the hotel. Check in was in the bar area, which was fine, there’s no lift but there’s only a couple of floors anyway. No breakfast but we were already aware and happy to eat elsewhere. Room and en-suite were nice, room had a fridge which was great! We had plenty of towels. Only drawbacks were, bed was a bit creaky, and the bathroom could have done with a little shelf or worktop to set toiletries ...

Kyle was excellent at the bar on our first two evenings and he sorted out our room TV in minutes, after I had managed to mess it up? “The location was great for the station. The check in was via the bar and the man was very friendly and helpful. He appeared to be working alone. The hotel itself although clean and comfortable was in desperate need of updating and maintenance - the gutters were great for the grass! Didn't try the shower or the breakfast. Ok for 1 night.”
