"Easy and safe walk out the south side of the Phuket airport along a road. About 2 blocks. Air conditioning worked well (although the room was very warm when I arrived, it cooled down very nicely). Breakfast is 400thb per person, and was reasonably nice with tea, a coffee machine, fresh fruit, breads, Penang curry and rice, potatoes, etc. The bed was firm (not in a bad way), and the comforter is basically a double sheet (which is all you need). Very friendly staff, and plenty to walk to if you have extra time (the beach along the national park is worth the visit!). Overall, this is a great value and nice hotel for what it is… a close to the airport hotel. Highly recommended."

"It’s right by the airport so it’s busy and you really don’t need a ride if you got 2 feet… literally right across the street! Now USA.. ain’t no washcloths so bring ya own.. otherwise the staff was great and they did let me stay until 1:30pm for free.. only reason you shouldn’t walk is if you don’t want to bust a sweat otherwise.. save your baht"

"Sugar marina AVIATOR hotel is very convenient to airport. Excellent for those arriving or departing at inconvenient times. Free shuttle to nearby beach. Cheap, tasty Thai food shops within a couple of blocks. Great place for overnight near the airport when in transit or fighting jet-lag; used by flight crews from several airlines. Quirky decor with strong WWII aviation theme. Other hotels in the Sugar Marina chain are located in the nearby resort areas of Phuket City and in Ao Nang in Krabi and may be more suitable final vacation destinations. But I will definitely try to book it when arriving or departing from Phuket International Airport again. "

"This place is a gem. So close to the airport but you have a National Park and Beach within a 5-10 minute walk. The grounds and accommodation are stunning, and the staff are wonderful. Great restaurant as well! Highly recommend. "
