"Upon arrival the TV did not work.Called the front desk 4 times and no answer. So I took the remote control to the front desk and exchanged it for another one. Still didn’t work. At 9:00 pm the front desk said they could have a maintenance person check it later. I asked for a discount but the manager refused since we didn’t want to wait until after 10pm for a maintenance person. Terrible service especially since I have been a rewards member for a dozen years."

"The ac was wonky. Throughout the night we had to toss sheets and then the next minute huddle for warmth. The fan in the bathroom was non functional, so my wife had to suffer through my movements. The bed was tiny as was the room. Im 6' 2" and my feet were hanging off the bed at all times. So maybe shorter than a queen. The bed was rock hard as well. I like a firm mattress, but this had zero give. The shower floor was smeared with black, so am not sure if it were cleaned prior. I was unaware that the street was being demolished, so also had to pay to park in a parking garage across the stree overnight. None of which were disclosed online. Tire swings in the lobby, but cant address function issues within the hotel. Overall score: 2 out of 10. "

"The front desk staff were fantastic and very helpful. Especially the valet, which was not easy with the construction of the new skyscraper and the transit system. The majority of the room was clean, but there was still some stains on the wall from a previous visitors stay. The shower was somewhat of an issue as well, due to water pressure. I don’t think that was the hotel’s fault though, but the construction situation. The restaurant was fantastic, but the waitress we had took very long times with getting coffee, ticket, etc. It wasn’t very busy either. The hotel overall was so cool. I love hotels that are older and have a charm, so this was a perfect property to stay at. Overall, the experience was 8.5/10!!! thank you Hotel Deco! Y’all were fantastic."

"We had a room that was large which was going to be great for our family get together. When we got into it was warm. So I cranked down the ac. Went to the pool and came back and it wasn't any cooler. So called the front desk and they sent up a service tech. He couldnt fix it. And we had to move rooms. Which was smaller. Just unfortunate but they were friendly and very accommodating. "

"This is a great hotel, but it's vastly overpriced. Let's just it did not meet the expectations you'd have for a $417 a night room (after taxes). Our check-in experience was also subpar as it definitely felt like she felt like we weren't good enough to be there. We were also charged for using a mini-bar item that we never even touched. Room service was great and the room service staff were exceptional. "
