Nice stay, no issues

Book was good, hotel was ok and as expected for the price paid, slept well with no issues. Booked to attend an event in the area.

The room smelt damp/mouldy! The walls looked like they had stains on them. The bathroom mirror was dirty, there was what appeared to be toothpaste on the tiles next to the sink. There was a slug in the shower. The flooring was in need of replacing! Generally not worth the money!

We didn’t get the room we paid for, we paid for a deluxe double and got a standard double, which was extremely small. We tried to complain but they didn’t want to know, we finally got an apology just before we were going to bed, but even then they kept trying to tell us that we did get the room we booked, which was very annoying. As compensation they offered us a late checkout which wasn’t any good to us and said they couldn’t change our room as they were fully booked, at 11pm we wouldn’t have wanted to change our room anyway. The door didn’t shut properly on our room so it didn’t feel very secure and there was a light on all night just outside the room, which made it difficult to sleep and the en-suite was very cramped making it very uncomfortable. Not a good experience, glad it was only for one night.

Property was clean and relatively easy to locate. Instructions on how to enter the building were sent the same day as arrival at 14:30 so a bit late and the WiFi did not work at all anywhere except the ground floor(my room was on the second floor). Other than this it was a pleasant stay.

Very basic, but clean and had all that was needed, hairdryer, iron, shower etc, so ok for a couple of days stay. Parking was the main issue. Could do with modernizing. Security to property and rooms good. Location was good with easy access to centre of Brighton and beach areas. Enjoyed our stay.

BED BUGS I tried to check in at 8:20 PM and had to call the number on the door for about 10 minutes before anyone answered. Eventually, I received the entry code via WhatsApp, which worked, but it was not ideal after a long day. Once inside, the entire place smelled strongly of fresh paint. My room had a dirty ceiling, and I found used dirty underwear under the bed, which was extremely unhygienic. The bed was also very itchy, and later that night around 11:40 PM, I felt something crawling on me. It was a bedbug. I spent the next two hours checking my clothes, sheets, and luggage. Didn't get much sleep after that.

Nice location and good sized room. Room gets very warm even with the fan provided, as it gets direct sunlight in the morning. Be aware there is no reception of any kind, so you need to make sure you have been sent the building/room code and instructions to get in when you arrive. I hadn’t been emailed mine, and had to call the property phone number to get it, but the help over the phone was very nice and I got what I needed. Otherwise great room for the price.

For the price (£30) for the night, it was decent enough. Was in the city for an evening function so was purely a bed to sleep on. Room was compact but had a small table and chairs, TV, kettle. Not terrible but pictures need updating.

Some of the reviews of this place are a little harsh. We stayed in Room 8 on the top floor. The hotel is a little dated and could do with an upgrade and repaint. I think the issue is that the picture they have on here are probably taken a while ago. The room and bedding was clean and we had hot water for the shower at all times. The keyless entry for the main door and room is very useful and save you having to carry a key around. If your looking for cheap hotel with no frills this is one to consider but do not expect too much and certainly not what the images show. But I would rule this place out just because of that. I would suggest that the hotel updates the pictures and that way the reviews wouldn’t be so bad.

They took over a week to reply to a question, there were no codes available to enter the property or codes for the rooms for multiple guests including me, the standing fan was broken, the bathroom light was broken, the only access to the outside for cooling or a breeze was a dank little courtyard that was literally swarming with mosquitoes, and I received no contact about the broken light and fan for over 6 hours before I left.
