Club Regina is an older hotel, but very well maintained. My husband and I stayed 4 days and had a terrific time. The food at the pool bar and indoor restaurant is very good. Breakfast was included in our reservation and it was quite a spread! The beach is the nicest section of the entire strip of beach. The pool water was too cold, but the hot tub warmed up enough to enjoy by day 3, but it was mainly a kiddie pool. The bus stop is outside of the hotel and for $1 it will take you anywhere. Everyone we encountered at the hotel were especially kind. As always when out of the country, the money exchange is always confusing. Our room was huge. It was considered a club suite. We had two full bathrooms, a full kitchen just minus an oven, a living room with sofa bed and kitchen table. King size bed with great pillows and a balcony with a jacuzzi which was very nice. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Our 2 room suite was very clean and comfortable for 2 nights. We loved the balcony view of sunrise over the Caribbean Sea, from either the spa tub or chairs. We also used the kitchenette for cooking and preparing breakfast and lunch, and walked to delicious local restaurant one evening, and the Club Regina hotel bar overlooking the coast the other eve (nachos and cheesecake were very good). The palapas near the beach were also nice for hanging out. The 3 pools and grounds are well-maintained in this older, smaller hotel at the south end of the Cancun hotel strip, which we preferred as it was very relaxing and low key. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, notably the doorman, front desk and club bar were especially helpful. King Bed was good, particularly the pillows. Our only wish was to have coffee packs provided in room because coffee in hotel bar and reception area did not open until mid morning (we found the coffee kit in the hotel shop for about $2USD to use our 2nd morning). We highly recommend Club Regina!!

The view is excellent, the hotel has direct access to the beach, and from the room you get to see the sunset. But the hotel restaurant's food is bad and takes too long to prepare, I find walking to the convenience store to buy some tacos to be faster and better.
