Carmel, California hotel rooms at the Motel 6

"The property needs an upgrade. Parking is very limited and there was no one on site to ask for help and no one picked up on the phone number they gave. I would not recommend and I would not stay here again. "

"Everything was great, besides the fact that they had no AC. It was warm and we couldn't sleep comfortably due to it. "

"We had a room next to stair way. Kept slamming, with a baby was not ideal. And there was huge spider nesting in the corner. Lot of windy noise. The aesthetic was great, just needed a little bit of deep clean "

"Nice enough, but furniture in the room was uncomfortable. I came home with bruises on both thighs from the "stalks" on the corners of the bed which I had to make sharp turns around to avoid the other furniture. The lounge chair was so stiff and hard it gave me a backache. Asked for and received a second chair so we could both use the table. Just disappointed."

"Nice, very historic hotel. No A/C which normally isn’t a problem in Carmel. It was extremely hot which is very odd especially for this time of year."

"The first night Carmel was having a heat wave and the room was extremely hot. No AC in the room and only one of the wondows open. I know this is a rare situation but it would have been nice if they had fans in the rooms for days like this. Wouldn't be much of a cost for the Inn and definitely would hve made.the night more bearable. Weather was normal after that and we had a wonderful trip. I usually stay at the Normandy Inn when my wife and I visit Carmel which is a few times a year."
