"Excellent location. Beautiful old house. I felt very safe even though we were in central Toronto. Lots of good restaurants and other amenities around. I ended up in a room in the basement and I could feel/hear the subway going underneath or very nearby on a regular basis. Streetcars after subway hours. It didn't bother me too much, but I did have to wear ear plugs. I think that is the only negative in this great budget friendly hotel."

"Front desk staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Room was clean upon arrival and beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were there for two nights and did not get our room cleaned which we were surprised at but was no big deal."
