I'm very satisfied with my stay at Hรดtel Du Pont Vieux. The staff were all kind and everything is almost perfect. The only disadvantage is about a lift but this is already mentioned by the hotel owner, so I was okay with it.โ
โOne of the few hotels within the Carcassonne castle. So one can't get access to it by car. The guest has to park his or her car at the Welcome Centre on the outskirts of the castle, and the hotel provides transportation between the Welcome Centre and the hotel. The service was very impressive, but this information should be given before the guest finalizes his or her reservation. โIt was a very calm and beautiful hotel, but its hygiene was awful. During my stay, there were hundreds and thousands of small red spiders in the room. I wouldnโt recommend this hotel. โ
โTruly a remarkable property and the 3 generations of family ownership is absolutely wonderful. They couldn't have made us feel any more welcome. My wife cried when she left because it felt like we were leaving long lost friends. If you have the opportunity, don't miss this enchanting place. โ

Patrice et Dominique nous ont accueillis dans ce lieu qu'ils ont magnifiquement restaurรฉ, prรฉservant l'esprit d'origine tout en ajoutant une touche de modernitรฉ. Plus que des clients, nous avons รฉtรฉ reรงus comme des invitรฉs et avons pu profiter pleinement du magnifique domaine, le chateau et son parc.โ
โGood hotel. Just what you expect from a Mercure. Comfortable but not special. Kind staff. The lady at the reception was not smiling very much. Nevertheless, she gave us all the information we needed about the city, so no offence. โ
โGreat location right next to the Aude River and River trail/walk. Great view of the citadel. Comfortable brooms, friendly staff and easy parking. Nancy comped my service dog fees which was appreciated. Street parking is free. 10-12 spots right by hotel. Underground parking for the tribe is 25โฌ per day. We walked to the citadel and we walked to multiple squares to eat in or near the town center. Went for the Tour de France stayed an extra day. All good, would stay again.โ
โIris and BJ were wonderful hosts. In advance of our visit we communicated about our diet (vegan family) and they were able to provide us a nice breakfast every morning. We visited the area during warm weather and the swimming pool ended up being a refreshing part of our stay during the late afternoon hours.โ
