Ramon's Village Resort

"We loved our stay! The beach was freshly raked every morning, the pool was vacuumed morning and as needed, and staff were always available to help. Housekeeping was quick to service our room and overall the grounds were stunning. We did notice some evidence of termites in our room but otherwise it was very well maintained. We used the on site golf cart rentals during our stay and that was quick and easy. The on-site restaurant was tasty and had a good selection. We were also very impressed with thw scuba/snorkeling tours and how easy they made it to book as a guest! We will gladly stay again!!!"

"Belizean Shores was amazing in all ways! the staff we're helpful, clean and professional. The property itself was a resort you didn't have to leave if you didn't want to. The food, from their sister property next door, was top notch. Happy hour was a bonus at the pool and we met a lot of great guests while enjoying the hot tub. Perfect family trip with 4 younger kids (12 and under). If I could buy a unit and go back often we would! Sand volleyball right on the beach, tennis courts and pickleball kept us busy as well. We didn't use their golf carts but would on any return trip. Trip of a lifetime!"

"Shaka Caye was truly paradise! We’ve stayed at numerous Caribbean resorts, but nothing compares to the privacy, natural beauty, and exceptional hospitality we experienced here. With only one other couple on the island, it felt like our own private getaway! We stayed in Beachfront Room #2, just steps from the ocean. Every morning, our chairs, cushions, towels, and umbrella were waiting. The staff were phenomenal—attentive, genuinely friendly, and always making us feel spoiled. We loved chatting with them and learning about Belizean culture. And the food was hands down the best we’ve ever had at a resort! The wildlife was incredible! We saw dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and tropical fish. Kayaking to the neighboring deserted island was a highlight, as was our private Caye Caulker excursion. A few tips: Bring LOTS of bug spray! The no-see-ums loved me but ignored my husband. Watch for upside-down jellyfish hiding in shallow seagrass. I was stung, but the rash disappeared within two hours. There’s no pool or 24-hour food service, but neither bothered us. The three delicious meals and afternoon snack were plenty! If you want nightlife and crowds, look elsewhere. If you want peaceful beaches, incredible nature, amazing food, and outstanding service, Shaka Caye is unforgettable. We’d return in a heartbeat!"
