That said, small terrace on top floor with incredible view of fortress. Street offers great restaurants options. Only downside is distance to train station - good 15/20 min walk. "Very nice hotel just outside Carcassonne Cite. With easy access to the Cite and the Town for shops - only about 20 mins walk from the train station. Beautiful view overlooking the Castle and the river. We had a 2nd floor room which had a mini balcony for sitting out on. Room was spacious, just a couple of niggly things like no soap in soap dispenser and missing coffee cups but otherwise all good. Good TV Channel selection and WiFi worked well. Overall a nice hotel, would stay here again. "

"In a fabulous location, right next to the walled town. Accommodation basic but had everything you needed for a short stay. We were able to borrow a kettle and use the laundry facilities. "The only negatives I have for this property are that the hot water went away very quickly, there was no stopper for the bathtub, and the automatic lights were hard to turn on in the morning out in the hallway. It’s walkable distance to cite de carcassonne, but it is on the far end of town, pretty far away from the train station. It took me about 45 minutes in the rain. "

"It's just a motel room really. Comfortable bed, pillow a little firm for me. Free air-conditioning and WiFi. Very clean and the lady on reception is lovely. There is some traffic noise but not too bad. It's situated on a industrial estate about 5km from Carcassonne. I walked it and the French don't seem to believe in pavements, don't do as I did and take the longer scenic route back because you'll have to walk in the road. I'd definitely stay here again."
