#lksawaydays 6/2020 With the approaching Ciara TeamLK were forced to change our initial plan and come up with a plan B. For our next #lkswaydaysUK we decided to carry on the theme of Lord and Lady LK, this time we had a Court Jester in tow too, and to find a castle that we could do Saturday morning (our original plan didn't feature a castle). We settled with Wolvesey Castle and a wander through the snowdrop covered garden of the Bishop of Winchester. We arrived before 10am and parked free for 2 hours along the road from the castle. The English Heritage site is free to enter and to roam around the 12th Century ruins. Wolvesey Castle famous for the Rout of Winchester is a relatively small site and has no walkways to higher levels. The most you need here is about an hour. We would only recommend visiting if you are already in Winchester. #lksawaydays gives Wolvesey Castle a 'meh' #wolveseycastle #winchester #outandabout #castle #uk

Inside Winchester Cathedral.
These exquisite early 14th-century oak choir stalls, where the priory monks once sang their daily offices, are an outstanding survival. Richly decorated with human figures, tiny heads and carved animals surrounded by luxuriant curling leaves, they are thought to be the work of a Norfolk craftsman and master carpenter.
