“Had an overnight stay before going on a cruise. Ideally located for this. Everything was arranged by Hotels.com as our original hotel was unable to accomodate us. Rooms werr vlean and comfortable and service good. Breakfast was good. Disappointed we had to pay extra for parking ”

“We had a lovely stay. Beautiful walled garden for relaxing having a drink/meal. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Some of the hotel is a little tired, but they appear to be working on it. The bar was redecorated during our stay, with minimal disruption. Breakfast was adequate. We didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel, but the meals and afternoon teas being served to guests in the garden looked delicious.”

“First of all -- this is a fantastic location. Looking out over the cathedral, and a few feet from the High Street, I can't imagine a better place to spend three weeks (as we did). I'd like to make a special comment about the front desk staff, who were always cheerful and helpful, especially Sophie, Liam, and the manager (whose name I'm sorry to say I've forgotten). When we arrived at the hotel and we want to use a swimming pool but unfortunately, they are cleaning the pool so we can't use it for first day. Many families are there for their holiday so they should not clean during the weekend. The weather was so terrible with raining and windy so we could not go for the trip.
