“Lovely place to wind down. Absolutely gorgeous spring lake and foliage - would take the boat trip every day. Excellent restaurant and service. Way too cold on first floor lobby and restaurant requiring a sweater or jacket when dining. No TVs - there should be a better warning about that. Intend to visit again next spring.”

“We like bed and breakfasts because we usually get to engage with owners and other guests. The owner was lovely, and there was a very good on-site restaurant. We arrived early and had lunch and dinner there. Breakfast was not the gourmet meal others reviewers described because the owner needed surgery, and in fact, we were asked to leave an hour and a half early. Our impression of the interior of the house was that there was so much stuff (so-called "antiques" and memorabilia) that no flat...

“Don’t clean the room during your stay. We were from Thursday to Sunday and never clean the bedroom. We asked for clean Towels because they don’t change it.”

“The overuse of scents by housekeeping made the smell in the room so strong it was hard to sleep, and caused us both headaches. This was our second visit with the same issue, so will not be back. Housekeeping visited the room to address the issue, but left it unimproved. ”

“The room was not cleaned every day. The bill was confusing, showing a daily "green fee" when there was no golf course. The total amount was divided in three parts which were separately charged to my credit card.”

“The room looked old, and was unkempt . Water smelt like sewage and bathroom light kept going on and off”

“The Staff is what makes this hotel exceptional but especially the Front Desk folks: professional, courteous and friendly! Great stay!”

“Staff was great! Found me a quiet room as requested. Only problems were the toilet was running as I entered the room and no telling how long that had been going on. I checked it out and flapper wasn’t seating well. Reported it, and the empty lotion bottle in the bathroom upon checking out. (I had made sure the toilet wasn’t running before I left!)”

“Parking was safe and easy. The weekend breakfast buffet far exceeded the weekday one, which was predominantly vending-machine fair and barely edible. Staff members were friendly and helpful, although it's disappointing that no cleaning of the room or replacement of towels/washcloths took place. We asked for the latter at the desk, where they were handed to us. The floors and carpeting were filthy! Apparently seldom vacuumed, and evidently never steam-cleaned.”
