“Short stay, lovely room with great view over the canal and fields. Iron was worn out and burnt my shirt! Otherwise ok facilities, bathroom a little tired .”

“The hotel is an old building, grade 2 listed, and as such is harder to maintain, but a lovely place to be - so you have to be a little forgiving regarding the quirks and the odd mishap. We were given a better room than the one booked - it faced the road and the traffic was a bit noisy, but we weren't bothered by it. You do hear through the walls a little more than I'm normally used to, but again, no real problem. Everyone we dealt with was really pleasant and helpful. Sometimes you have to ask...

“This is an excellent establishment. I can’t think of a more welcoming and jovial place I’ve been to. On Wednesday nights they have live music from 2 local musicians. It was absolutely wonderful. Amazing views and scenery as well. Right on the national nature reserve.”

“A very convenient and dog friendly place to stay during our travels. A dog bed, treats, water bowl and poo bags were provided for our dogs, and although there was road noise from our road-facing room, it didn't prevent us from having a good night's sleep. The breakfast hamper in the morning was delicious and allowed us to leave when we liked. The use of the two rear fields to walk the dog was very handy. We also enjoyed our evening meal and appreciated the friendly staff. Would recommend.”

“Large room, helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Generally very clean although carpets were stained in places which didn't look great.”

“Arrived Monday afternoon, member of staff said the chef had done a runner, on the Tuesday another member of staff said the chef had a day off, on the Wednesday another member of staff said the chef had taken an extra day off and offered us tea and coffee and cornflakes foc. The bar closed at 5 so if you wanted an evening meal you had to order early, that is if the chef was in. Sorry i cant give this hotel a rating, and the shower was hopless.”

“Just stayed one night so didn't use amenities or facilities. Room was basic but what we needed for the one night. Spacious family room with plenty of tea and milk provided, however was in an old building so needs an upgrade and a deep clean - lots of cobwebs.”

“Failed to provide the room type we had booked. Refused to try and obtain the correct room type we'd booked.”

“We arrived at the property to find that we had been double booked and no room was available as the property was now full. We had to find alternative accommodation in the area and we luckily found one property that had one room left. Grassington lodge offered no help in finding alternative accommodation due to their error. Extremely disappointed with how it was all handled and how we was treated and we would never use or recommend this property in the future.”

“Excellent accommodation, lovely food and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Only one thing that I would change is the shower ‘curtain’. It was very clean but I still don’t like them especially when they blow against you.”

“I loved Everything and Everyone at your Hotel. From the reception to the Wait and Bar staff. The Housekeeping and Grounds. My little Cottage was Perfect. Had Everything I needed The Pub was awesome. Breakfast a big plus. If Ever I heeded Anything I just had to ask and I received it. Location was Perfect too. I would come back anytime and stay with You. Thank You.”

“Spooky!!! This place is definitely haunted, 100%, whilst staying here last night I woke to see the outline of a ghost at the end of my bed 👻, it moved slowly across the room towards the window and then disappeared. If you like the paranormal this is the place to stay. Will definitely come again.”

“WiFi was pretty terrible, room had a very musky smell. Very dated but relatively clean. Dinner was decent in the restaurant. breakfast was extortionate so I passed and got a coffee from Costa.”
