"Nice hotel with lovely pool area and views over the harbour. The walk in to town is not very pleasant and so you need a car to access town and surrounding areas so consider this in your planning. We only had the breakfast in the hotel which was excellent. We also did the hotel organised boat trip on Dolce Vita which was outstanding and I highly recommend. Overall the hotel is a bit run down in the common areas etc but the pool area is lovely. "

"Property was well positioned next to the sea but difficult to find as it is on a fenced estate area. Property was old, concrete cast and showed it. Rooms had had the bathrooms refurbed but bed and wardrobe were old and battered. Stairs were worn edged and had lines in the marble making evening descent hazardous. Lift battered and noisy. Staff on reception sullen and bored. Swimming pool was unsafe for families. Very deep throughout the whole pool even for me (i am 6ft). small pool at the side...

"On our arrival we were walked to a different hotel in the middle of Cagliari, it was not explained to us at all but it became clear that they had over booked. We then stayed in a small, dark room for two nights while they got our actual room ready. This wasn't so much the issue, as the staff just totally ignoring the issue rather than addressing it... Not great. "

"Our main difficulty was in obtaining bus tickets which we were told by reception would be available at tobacconists. On the whole they were not and we had to resort to a taxi to visit the old town. Otherwise it was a great stay."

"The Alma is in a great location, despite very few amenities. Beach is wonderful and an easy walk. Our stay was spoiled by apalling and loud music from the bar but blasted over the whole site - which consisted mainly of out of key solo singing and guitar over poor Pink Floyd backing tracks from about 6.00pm onwards, followed by dreadful karaoke from 9.00 to midnight. "Reno’s almost complete. We used 10E/day parking for our small vehicle. View from balcony nice, but view from breakfast room fantastic. Could have sat there all day. Nice breakfast. As close as you can stay to old town but still drive to door."
