“This is a great place to stay in Kumbakonam. The property is large and has many interesting features. The staff are good. I will visit again possibly in winter. I have only 2 negatives to say - 1. I had ordered a Beetroot soup and it was almost cold and the quantity was not impressive too. Was just not fair to charge for this. 2. Next day morning breakfast [This was a solo visit] ... no one bothered to ask me for dosa or coffee. Was pathetic. Overall, I was not impressed by restaurant and...

“Traditional rooms. Clean rooms. No special amenities but the bathroom does its job. I liked the eveni bc Veena recital. I had traditional food and was good. Restaurant Staff is primarily non localite but they were eager to help with our selection for local food.”

“Functional, centrally located, and supported by courteous staff. What stood out, however, was the choice of music played throughout the property - it was entirely Western. In a place like Thanjavur, where visitors often come to experience the richness of local culture, incorporating regional elements would make a meaningful difference. Even a selection of Tamil devotional music could have enhanced the atmosphere, especially given the abundance of beautiful compositions from the Tamil heartland. ”

“KPS resort is a brand new facility with currently only six rooms and the rest still being built out. I stayed for two nights during my temple tour of southern Tamilnadu. The facility is beautiful and is very close to Kumbakonam. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff are terrific. The price currently is unbeatable and may not last once it is fully built up. I strongly recommend this resort.”

“Booked through Expedia. Cannot believe they chose to list this property. I do not trust this platform anymore, cos it feels like any timbuk property of any quality can list themselves on Expedia for money. Am appalled to say the least. The least comfortable stay ever, you are paying premium prices for a motel like stay.”
