“Was okay. First time here and to the islands. It seems nicer in the photos. We went during a time where there was sargassum (seaweed) on the main beach by the lobby, they did offer shuttles to nearby beaches but we had a car to use instead. Not a ton of things to do, some activities but limited really to two pools for fun and some occasional drink hours or small snacks like smore or ice cream. They will sell you very hard upon arrival for a timeshare, not for us. It made the experience not so...

“Front desk staff was very helpful; the only issue I had was the pullout mattress was like a pancake. I felt the springs when sleeping; I asked for a new mattress and they weren’t able to replace it but did send extra bedding.”

“Unfortunately, we were let down by Carina Bay Resort. First off, there was trash all over the property, front to back. So much so, my husband went and picked trash off the beach one evening. There are only 2 options as far as meals go, and the food was just ok. You can get food at the poolside bar after 11am, and the buffet is only open for breakfast and dinner. “Everything here was excellent, including the staff, the facilities, the room, the view from the room, the food in the restaurants, the pool, the available water toys (kayak, hobbies, ) and the very attention to details that convey that sense of luxury (ie the shampoo, the towel, the soap, the amazing bedding, etc). They are trying to keep the sargassum away with a barrier and partially succeeding at keeping it under control. The beach is relatively small and facing east.”

“It's convenience and spectacular view of the harbor over looking Charlotte Amelia for our last night. The front desk lady on the mid-shift was so pleasant and knowledgeable to our questions. The restaurant's atmosphere was perfect for my wife and I as we lived in the VI for many years. To finish our stay, our taxy driver was like a private tour guide to the airport. What more do you want ?”

“We had a wonderful time while staying here for our vacation. The staff was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful with our questions about navigating the island. We enjoyed taking out the kayaks and using the snorkeling gear the hotel provided. The pool was warm and clean. The room was always cleaned when we needed it.
