“Our room was clean and comfortable, we even had an iron and ironing board which was very useful. Hairdryer was good, lovely body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. Good quality bedding and towels. The staff were very courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal which was very good, very generous portions and good quality. The breakfasts were excellent. “The property was easy to find with some decent parking. Once there I called the owner, Gaina and she provided the code for the key box. Once upstairs in the loft studio, I was amazed with the space and amenities on hand. On Gaina's advice, I went on an hour long walk near a local river and woodlands. There were plenty of dining options within a decent radius of distance. I had a great night's sleep and was welcomed with a fantastic variety for a continental breakfast to get the day started...

“Lovely big, clean room with a sofa, table, chairs, huge bed and a gorgeous view. Loads of parking and a nice garden to enjoy. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and very helpful. The evening meal, Chicken Supreme, was fantastic and so was the breakfast (porridge with blueberry compote). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and can't wait to stay again.”

“On arrival I was told that I only booked one child where on my booking there was 2 children. Staff was not very welcoming and sleeping when I walked through in the morning. Room ok for what we needed , beds were clean and that’s the main. Bath looks like it could do with being renewed”

“Excellent check in and greeting from reception. Room was adequate, if stuck in the 80’s but shower pressure was dreadful. Also shower is over the bath so be aware of this if you have mobility issues. Parking is good but a 24 hour fee of £5 has been introduced, partly redeemable at the hotel bar. Breakfast was good”

“The boars head was such a lovely place to stay was noisy Saturday night as you’d expect but the whole time we were there was great. The staff the food the atmosphere couldn’t be faulted same with the food that was delicious and the breakfast was good too. Would definitely stay there again”
